During her concentration, dozens of different Supergirl's flashed through Janet's mind. But then one version in particular began filling her thoughts. It was the Supergirl from Superman: The Animated Series. It was the first version of Supergirl that Janet ever saw and knew about. And it was also the one that Janet found herself gravitating towards the most. Soon memories of the animated Supergirl flowed throughout Janet's psyche.
Meanwhile in the real world, Janet's body was lifted off the ground and surrounded by a glowing orb of white light as she began to change. Her biology changing to that of a Kryptonian, becoming far stronger than any human. And finally, her physical appearance was altered, and her clothing transformed. Then the orb's glow intensified and covered the whole room with white light. And then just as quickly, the glow faded and the orb imploded into a small white cloud, accompanied by a soft *kapoof* noise, covering Janet as she gently landed on the floor.
As the cloud finished dissipating, Janet opened her eyes a minute after her transformation. As she's pulling herself up, Janet finds herself wearing completely different clothes and remembers the magic amulet still around her neck. Facing her mirror, Janet gasps in surprise as she saw Supergirl starring back at her. It took Janet a few seconds to realize that she really was the Supergirl in the mirror.
She had blonde hair that went past her shoulders and was adorned by a black headband. She now had light blue eyes and red lips. Looking over herself, Janet discovers that her whole figure was now exactly like Supergirl's, even her breasts were now the exact same size as Her's.
Afterwards, Janet looks over the rest of her wardrobe. She's wearing a white baby t-shirt with black stripes at the ends and has the Superman (House of El) Emblem over her chest. There's also a small red cape attached to the shoulders of her shirt. Looking at her hands, she sees that they're both covered in white gloves. Past her midriff, Janet sees a blue miniskirt that's hugging her hips. And finally, there are a pair of red boots covering her feet.
Janet is ecstatic as she finishes looking at herself.
"This is so cool. I really look just like Supergirl."
Then she turns to her bed and begins thinking out loud.
"I have her look, but do I have her powers too."
Walking over to her bed, Janet grabs the bed frame and lifts the whole thing with no effort at all. But as Janet puts the bed back in place however, she accidentally crushes part of the metal frame with just her fingers. Janet is shocked by this and stares at her gloved hands.
"Oh crap. I was even trying to crush it. And if it was that easy for me to bend metal like that, then I really need to be extra careful with my strength."
As she continued to stare at her hands, Janet began to see past the gloves and through her skin and muscles, down to her very bones.
"Woah! I have x-ray vision!" Janet said in surprise.
Looking back at her mirror, Janet can see her whole skeleton. With some focus, Janet was able to adjust her vision back to seeing her muscles and then down to her underwear and socks, all of which were white. She even saw that her panties had the Superman logo on both the front and the rear, making Janet groan.
"Really Kara. Really?!"
But while she continued to stare and focus her vision, two red beams shot out of her eyes, ricochet off the mirror and at her drapes, causing two small fires to appear. Startled, Janet ran towards the fire really, really fast, almost slamming into the wall in the process. After that experience, Janet went over to the drapes and tried waving at the fire, which did nothing. She then tried blowing at the fire, which instantly put out the fire and froze the drapes. Overwhelmed, Janet sat down on the floor and collected her thoughts.
"Okay. Heat vision, super speed, and super cold breath. Check, check, and check. Right then. That just leaves one superpower left."
Looking up at the ceiling, Janet got off the floor and onto her feet. Breathing calmly, Janet bent her knees and then gently pushes her feet off the ground. Immediately, Janet found herself floating upwards through the air. Janet smiled at this revelation.
"I'm flying. I'm really, really fly- {thump} WOAH!"
Distracted by her ability to fly, Janet accidentally bumps into the ceiling. She then finds herself falling back down and tries to use her powers to slow down. But fortunately, she's able to activate them again and stops herself in midair. Getting herself upright, Janet floats in place as she reflects on everything that's happened.
"Alright, I think I've got this whole Supergirl thing under control. Should be smooth sailing from here on ou- OU- OU-"
Unfortunately for Janet, some dust from the ceiling had gone up her nose and now she was on the verge of a super sneeze.
"AH-CHOO!"
With one mighty blow, Janet was sent flying backwards through the air, and landing on her bed with her cape over her head. After recovering, Janet sits back up and pushes her cape back into place.
"{sighs} Okay, so I'm still a work in progress. No biggie."
