"Now look", she starts, "living under the sea is great and all, much better than what the boring land-dwellers have to offer...but occasionally I'd like to make a little trip onto land and see what the humanfolk have been doing lately. But as you can see, I've no legs and I'll accept even slow land movement over none at all. And that's where you come in. Although somewhat slow, you can effectively drag yourself across land. So let me use you as a mount by sitting on your shield when you go out of the water, and I might change you back." You nod in agreement, willing to do anything to be human again. Clia glees, "great!" and suddenly slips a leash-like cord in your beak and positions herself on top of you. "I can more effectively steer you that way...now go, my steed!", she grins.
Under Clia's guidance the beach once again starts looming in the distance and once you reach sufficiently shallow water you switch from coasting with your flippers to dragging yourself across the sand. "Oh boy", Clia beams, "I've never been this far onto land! Where shall I go first, hmm..." While Clia ponders, you keep crawling further up the beach, patiently waiting for her command.
