Arriving in front of the bookstore, Alice parked in her usual spot. The 50 years old bookseller remembered having seen the address where the dice had come from and had decided with Nicole that it would be wiser to return them to where they came from, and above all that it was the only way to solve Sharon's problem, now far too young. Even though Nicole was completely unconcerned, Alice was determined to help Sharon - despite her remorse, she felt guilty about her former enemy's current state.
"Hey wait for me!" Sharon shouted as the middle-aged women were entering the bookstore. The poor young woman had to constantly maintain her much too large pants, and her shoes, now several sizes too high, forced her to pace slowly. Nicole didn't hesitate to let out a giggle as Alice held back, it was a sight she never thought she'd be able to witness.
"Come on we haven't got all day, you could have stayed in the car." Nicole scoffed in an almost humiliating tone.
"Shut up" Sharon retorted, she felt like she was talking to her mother again, and she hated that feeling.
Alice headed for the packaging, still in the same place. After examining it, she found the address on the back.
"It's written 0777 Restart Rd. Strange name." Alice said.
Sharon raised an eyebrow "Hey, don’t count on me to go in another dimension or anything" The young woman shouted.
"Hey we're doing this for you huh, we might as well leave you as you are, maybe that's what you really need?" Nicole laughed, which irritated the young blonde even more.
"Well okay, can we know where it is at least?" Sharon asked sitting down in a chair.
Alice browsed the address on google maps, and as weird as its name is, it exists. "Oh you're not going to like that..." she said worriedly. "It's a two-day drive from here."
Both women gawked as Alice announced the time they'll need to travel. Such a long journey would not only be exhausting, but would leave them rolling the dice enough times that they'd all end up below driving age. As Nicole tried to imagine such a long trip, the young blonde stood up, still holding her pants. "Well in that case, let's go now there's no time to lose." She said as she walked towards the exit, until Alice caught her by the collar.
"Wait a sec, we’re certainly not going to take the road at this time, in 2 or 3 hours it will already be dark, we can't afford to ride at night with the dice it's far too dangerous." Said the the middle-aged woman. "I suggest we leave tomorrow at dawn."
Nicole nodded and Sharon rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. "Okay, but what do we do in the meantime?" asked the young woman, the idea of going home and spending a night as a young woman, almost a teen, was more distressing than anything else, fortunately she was alone, she and her husband divorced about ten years ago and her 21-year-old daughter had gone off to study far away.
Alice posed, wondering what to do, the better option would be to buy clothes in case before the stores close. One die was bonded to her while the other one bonded to Nicole, the situation could be worst, she even wondered if she could use the dice to lose some pounds…
