With everything going on Spark was beginning to get annoyed. Connor was constantly training, her friends were on edge about the threat from the future, not to mention the future teens she was dealing with. Grunting in annoyance, the fairy now turned on her Gamestation for some mind numbing video games.
"What cha doing?"
Spark glanced back, noticing Crystal Mathers now nervously glancing into her enclosure. It was still odd talking with a girl who was the future progeny of one of her oldest friends. Still, it didn't mean she was willing to start sharing secrets or braiding eachothers hair. "Gaming," Spark replied. "Can I join you," Crystal asked nervously. Spark shrugged, letting out a grunt.
Crystal, taking the grunt as an invitation, now shrank down to fairy size. The teen growing smaller as a pair of gossamer wings sprouted from her back. Taking a seat next to Spark the girl studied the fairy nervously. "How come you're naked?"
"Its a cultural thing," Spark groaned. "And when I'm in my room and a fairy I don't want to wear clothes." Spark now gave the future fairy a sideways glance. Crystal was fully clothed, the teen sporting a trendy teenage shirt and jeans. If it wasn't for Crystal's wings you never would have known she was a fairy. "So," Crystal continued. "How long have you known my great grandma?"
"We grew up together," Spark grunted. "Calista and I graduated school together before I came to work for the Morelands." Crystal nodded, it still seemed so odd to the teen. Crystal's memories of Calista were fuzzy, the fairy had died of old age when she was only four. "You know you kind of look like her," Spark stated. "Did you two know eachother in the future?"
"She died when I was four," Crystal said softly. "I guess, from what I've heard, she kind of gave up her fairy life span. My grandmother and dad always spoke highly of her."
"Huh so you get your fairy genes from your pops," Spark replied. Crystal nodded, carefully watching Spark. She recalled Darren's reaction. "If you start laughing about my dad being a fairy I'll kick your ass!"
"Wait what," Spark asked in confusion. "Why the hell would I do that?" Crystal sighed, apologizing before explaining Darren's reaction when Crystal discovered her heritage. "Guys," Spark scoffed before smiling. "What is it with boys? They always giggle over the dumbest things!"
"Does that include me?"
"Connor," Spark exclaimed, the fairy now soaring from enclosure and growing to human size. Clothes now appeared on the teenage girl as she squeezed her boyfriend in a tight hug. "You know I didn't mean you," she said. "I mean those other immature boys."
"Like me?"
Spark turned, raising an eyebrow as a handsome blonde teenage boy how gave her a smile. "Robbie," Crystal exclaimed, the girl sailing from Sparks enclosure and returning to human form. "What are you doing here," she asked, giving her boyfriend a hug. "Is everything okay?"
"Everything is cool," Robbie replied. "Rick and Julia have been cool, even if Neela is driving them nuts." Crystal nodded, happy to have her boyfriend here but curious as to why he was here? "So Crystal you ready for date night?'
"Date night?"
"Double date night," Connor stated. "I promised Spark I would take her on a haunted hayride. I figure we could make it a double date."
"Oh I've always wanted to go on a haunted hayride," Crystal said happily. "Robbie you come up with the best ideas." Connor now looked to Spark, his girlfriend looking somewhat annoyed at the fact she would be going on a double date. "Spark?"
Taking a deep breath, the green haired teen now smiled before placing a tender kiss on her boyfriends lips. "Has anyone ever told you how kind you are?" Connor smirked, giving his girlfriend a gentle kiss as the couples made their way towards the car. The idea of sharing date night may not have been on Sparks to do list but, trying to make the future teens a bit more comfortable was for the best.
