Miss Angie arrived at the farm and was immediately approached by a friendly looking woman wearing jeans and a t-shirt with the farms name emblazoned across it. She looked to be somewhere in her thirties, but with a youthful appearance, medium length dark hair and a petite build. She was pretty in an everyday kind of way.
"Hi, you must be Miss Angie. I'm Christina" the woman smiled broadly "You are volunteering here right?"
"That's correct" Miss Angie answered warmly.
"That's great, we need all the help we can get"
"How so?"
"Well, as you probably know, we run this place as a charity and we have been struggling for donations recently. I have volunteered here for a while now but it's often just me. The aim is to teach kids about animals, let them experience them close up and send them home having had a great day out. The problem is we really don't have that much to show them. A few chickens, a couple of donkeys and the occasional pig, goat or cow. But most of them have seen better days and we don't have anything at all exotic. I do my best to keep the kids entertained but I wish there was some way I could be more useful here."
Miss Angie listened to Christina's plea then looked around to confirm that what she was saying was correct. There were only a handful of visitors and there wasn't much to look at.
"Don't worry, I think I can help you here dear. I just need you to be a little open minded."
"Of course, I'm open to anything." Christina nodded eagerly.
