The Magic Shop

From the files of S.P.E.A.R: the Interrogator

added by O 12 days ago BM O Magic Mental

Although Hailey and Henry's investigation into the schools security system proved valuable, their work was far from finished. The technology used to alter the footage was more advanced than anything anyone had seen. S.P.E.A.R was still trying to determine the who and how in regards to this mystery. As they were trying to connect those dots though, an attack on a group of teenagers now left S.P.E.A.R scrambling.

Sarah received word of the assault on Darren and several other teens by the Normal shortly after it happened. Thankfully the attempted kidnapping was foiled, leaving S.P.E.A.R with several prisoners to interrogate. That too was proving to be problematic as they discovered the nature of these soldiers. "What do you mean most of them were dead," Jacob asked. "I mean dead," Sarah replied. "As in corpses, complete with autopsy scars. Our medical guys can't make heads nor tails out of it. Those kids fought living corpses that were moving like regular people."

"Well did these wizards have any idea," Hailey asked. "I mean they have to have some kind of idea. Don't they have magic that can raise the dead?"

"No I interviewed them myself," Sarah sighed. "Raising the dead is difficult, even with the most experienced of wizards. According to that kid Darren, the Normal have perfected a reanimation technique that defies any explanation." Jacob now rubbed his chin, reading the information before him. Undead he was familiar with but this was different. S.P.E.A.R and the wizards coudn't determine how these corpses were animated. Jacob now wondered if any of the soldiers survived. "The only living soldier we can even interrogate is the one your sons friend Miles captured." Sarah replied

"So what are we waiting for," Henry asked. "Lets go talk with him." Sarah shook her head, they had already tried. So far they had come up with nothing, the soldier remaining quiet, not even revealing his name. All they learned was that he worked for the Normal. "We've tried," Sarah stated. "The guy isn't saying word one. So, we've had to try a more unorthodox approach."

Jacob, Hailey, and Henry now raised an eyebrow. What did Sarah mean by unorthodox? "Considering this Catalyst got attacked I ended up speaking with Kellie and Jack from the Magic Shop." Sarah stated. "Wait you mean the two kids from the other timeline," Jacob asked. "The one whose mom is a demon?"

"Yeah," Sarah blushed. "He's offered to help?"

Before Jacob could even respond, they all paused. The office had gone eerily quiet, dozens of agents at their desks silent, their eyes appearing glazed over as they stared off into space. Hailey now felt anxious, nervously watching before hearing a most peculiar sounds. "Is that a piano?"

A small ding signaling the arrival of the elevator now drew everyone's attention. A thick fog billowing out of the elevator. Now the silent agents at their desks stood at attention, their mouths opening as they began to sing.

*GLORIOUS! NO I WONT GIVE IN I WON'T GIVE IN TIL I'M VICTORIOUS! AND I WILL DEFEND I WILL DEFEND*

As a guitar riff now sounded throughout the floor, Hailey and the others gaped in confusion as a well dressed young man now exited the fog. Hailey could see the man appeared young, perhaps only a year or so older than herself with a smug smile upon his face. As the agents now broke jnto a chorus, the man levitated off the ground, his back facing Sarah and the others as he made a grand motion with his arms. A name now appearing in lights to announce his presence.

Geshp

"You hired a devil to interrogate this guy," Jacob exclaimed. Sarah blushed, rubbing the back of her neck as Geshp's 'entrance music' blared throughout the floor. "Okay yeah I know," she groaned in embarrassment. "But look, we're in desperate straights right now. Nothings worked so far. Jack and his mother offered to assist."

"Lets just hope it didn't cost you your soul."

As Geshp now strutted towards then, Hailey couldn't help but gape at the arrogant devil. He was tall, handsome, with well kept dark hair and dark eyes that seemed to shimmer in the light of the office. Geshps walk wasn't so much a walk but a strut, the devil useing his magic to ignite Pyro behind him like this was some kind of a rock show. As he now stood before Sarah and the others, he snapped his fingers. The chorus ending immediately, the agents shaking their heads before returning to their previous task as if nothing had happened.

"Good morning Director McMillan," Geshp said with a slight bow. Hailey raised an eyebrow, the devils voice was silken smooth but the arrogance of the man was almost palatable. "So happy to be working with you."

"On a probationary permit," Sarah replied. "Nothings permanent. You're going to have to earn this job, starting now." Geshp nodded, a suave smile spreading across his face. Hailey now tepidly raised her hand, still confused by everything she had just seen. "Um excuse me what just happened?"

"Oh that," Geshp smirked. "My entrance. I find it best to make a grand entrance as a first impression."

"Okay but I've never heard that song before."

"Its called Glorious Domination," Geshp smiled. "A personal favorite entrance theme of mine. I've always admired the entrances and pageantry of professional wrestling."

"Professional wrestling," Hailey asked. "Isn't that fake?"

"ITS REAL TO ME!"

Hailey paused slightly taken aback by Geshp's outburst. In his anger, the vampire had noticed Geshp's features shifting. The man's eyes became as black as night while a small set of horns protruded from his forehead. "We can talk about this later," Sarah interrupted. "First a few ground rules."

"Of course my apologies," Geshp replied, his suave nature returning once more. Sarah simply frowned, already regretting this deal with Kack and Lilith. "Rule number one no more mind control."

"Mind control," Geshp asked, before Sarah and the others beckoned to the office. "Oh that. Of course Director, won't happen against. Care to enlighten me on the others?"

"I'll let you know as we go," Sarah said. "In the meantime let's go talk with the prisoner."

"Lead the way Director McMillan," Geshp replied, a sinister smile spreading across his handsome face. "I look forward to unearthing whatever secrets he's holding on to."
