You'd been out for at least 2 and a half hours now and you were definitely getting bored. You didn't think most of the friends you were here with would mind if you left early, but you sent a text to the friend you all had in common, just to be polite.
With that, you left the shopping mall for your car, turning on your bluetooth and tapping the first playlist you saw on your Spotify library. You weren't that concerned with music, the drive home wasn't long.
Instead you couldn't help but focus on the new ring in its little box, going on autopilot a little bit as you took the ring from its box and examined the etchings marked into it.
"Bizarre little thing," you murmured as you slid it onto your finger. It fit shockingly well for something you grabbed at an antique store. Perhaps that should've concerned you. It didn't.
Pulling your focus back to the road, you found yourself pulling into your apartment complex, and from there it wasn't long till you had parked and made your way to your place.
Opening the door you shoved your foot through so Toad wouldn't slip out past you. The damn cat was going to get himself shot by the neighbors if he kept getting out.
Getting the door closed without incident, you let the cat jump up to arm's reach on the couch armrest before giving him a few good scritches, before finding a place for the few other things you found time to buy at the mall.
