After a while deciding what would be the craziest thing to do in the Chronivac an unexpected visitor came into the room, a tiny lizard that dashed his way through the window and onto his desk. “Hi there little fella” Jake tried approaching but the lizard disappeared in less than a second, hiding somewhere in the mess. “Well… I guess he didn’t like me being so big” Jake noticed that the Chronivac allowed him to modify the little lizard as well.
And so he was hit with an awesome idea for the transformation, he was very careful with the details and after setting the reality to go back to normal in two weeks he hit enter.
Jake rushed to the mirror to see his transformation, noticing small scales covering his torso, his alligator snout receding a bit to resemble a lizard’s instead. “Man, I’m shrinking fast! This is so cool” He shrunk rapidly to doll size, getting shorter and smaller each second, marveled at how awesome the world looked like from this size.
Jake was reaching baseball size when he noticed his hands and feet spreading out, he felt his tail lashing out thinner but longer, his fingers swelled at the tips to help him climb better, and little claws sharpened out as well. “Imghh… ogh.. my voighhh…” Jake lost his ability to speak as his vocal chords disappeared, now he was just two inches tall.
His face finished reshaping, his ears disappeared, his skull flattened, his eyes grew big and darkened until two black spheres were attached to his face.
On all fours, Jake wasn’t remotely human anymore, he was a tiny lizard, barely one inch long from head to tail. He swung his tail happily, as he began to receive lizard instincts in his new brain.
“I will keep my knowledge, but, I need space for lizard instincts and habits” Thought Jake as he flicked his tongue happily, but this was no safe place, it’s way too open, he needed to get cover or else he might get eaten.
“Yeah… I have Lizard instincts! And craving to eat some bugs…” Jake the lizard ran to underneath his former human bed, and waited, something told him to, it was safer to wait here.
Suddenly the lizard Jake saw earlier approached, that made Jake burst with joy, it worked!
“There you are Zak” Thought Jake smiling, happy to see that his buddy was alright. He changed the fellow lizard as well, so he is now named Zak intelligent as well, and that way they could communicate, even if they couldn’t speak, Jake now understood him as if he could.
“Got you dinner, eat up” Zak then spit out part of a dead fly abdomen, “Hey! You already ate most of it!” “Yeah… sorry you know I REALLY like these” Jake didn’t hesitate anymore and finished the fly, the thing was so fucking tasty…
Jake was happy that the mental changes worked perfectly for both of them, He didn’t want to forget his previous life but wanted to experience this world as it truly is!
While eating Jake realized all the new memories he had with Zak, these two lizard buddies were best friends, they’ve known each other since the day they hatched, which was… yesterday.
Jake Flicked his tongue and swung his tail happily, thanking Zak for the food and giving him the most sincere smile.
“Glad you liked it, now let’s go to a safer place” Zak and Jake then headed to the window, climbing the walls as if it was a normal floor, Jake still marveled at his own speed and looking forwards to enjoy his Lizard life these two weeks.
