The October Issue of Animalia Magazine was called the Myths and Superstitions because of the recent War Against Sauron, which was officially labeled, in various fanfictions, as WWIII. While many of the myths that were touched upon during the events were part of either Tolkienesque or established Mythology, there were a number of misconceptions about certain myths that the main article helped clear up.
---
There was also an article that talked about the Cold War era, partly due to the fallout shelter that had been found by the ROSE House, especially since some people had their own misconceptions from movies like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. One really shocking "myth" was that things like "duck and cover" actually wouldn't do much to protect people from nuclear bombs, especially since nuclear bombs "evolved" from plane-transported bombs to ICBMs.
---
Finally, the final article talked about what this year's Spookyville theme would be: during the War against Sauron, it was discovered that Sauron's Mystic Tribe of Uruk-Hai were after a mysterious hero from China's Three Kingdom's period, known only as "the Crouching Dragon of Heaven" (天堂的卧龍), or simply Wo Long.
Wo Long's jade amulet, with letters inscribed in the Yaoguai, was the key to finding his final resting place, and such, was the only thing left to prove his existence. Ironically, once the letters were translated, the entrance to the mausoleum was revealed to be underneath the wing of the imperial palace that Mulan destroyed when she killed Shan Yu.
The stone slab that was hiding the staircase down to the tomb (filled in with sand to prevent a hollow sound from revealing it, contained Wo Long's epitaph (inspired by the game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty) which also told the story of the Three Kingdoms period from a supernatural point of view. When Mulan, Shang, and their friends reached Wo Long's final burial chamber, they were ambushed by Uruk-Hai from the Mystic Tribe. However, the fighting around Wo Long's sepulcher caused him to spontaneously come back to life (inspired by The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) and join the fight. However, the escape from the Uruks had scattered Wo Long's precious bamboo scrolls (which were slats of bamboo wood tied together with leather cords) and he was anxious to get them back. Ironically, almost all of them were scattered around Spookyville, so any kid who managed to find slats of bamboo wood tied together with leather cords and Chinese writing on them would be rewarded with bonus candy.
There was also going to be a special surprise for Spookyville on Heiya Island, but nothing more would be said yet.
All of these were accompanied by special notes that stated which parts were inspired by Chinese mythology and which were more like embellishments, as some people called them.
