One of the boys was catching up to Candy, but before anything could happen. The older woman gave a stern stare at the boy just as Candy was turning around.
"Hey, boy! Leave her alone!" The lady yelled at the running kid.
This scared the whole boy group immediatly which left Candy and the lady stare at each other.
"Where's your mom little lady?" The rugged lady asked as she corrected the seat for her. "Also, sorry for shouting that hard. Didn't meant to scare you too."
Candy was little bit frozen as the lady tried to offer her the free seat next to her. The lady had small darkened bags under her eyes and had weird hairstyle. She looked tired and a eerie smell was covering her. Like a tobacco, but not quite. She didn't look as old as Amanda, but in Candy's eyes everyone were either baby, same age as her or an adult.
Candy was standing there not being able to say anything and as she was going to say something. She noticed that her mother was walking next to her with the lifeguard coming behind her.
"I heard the shouting. What's going on here?" Amanda asked from the lady.
"Oh, there was a boy just harassing her and I asked him to leave her alone. Nothing much." The lady responded.
"Hi miss Riverton. What brings you to here?" The lifeguard asked from the lady as if they knew each other.
"Marcus you know that I have three kids and four grandkids that I have to take care of." Miss Riverton laughed. "Have you seen Lily? She should be with the girls."
Amanda was a little bit confused what had just happened and without thinking thanked the lady as if she owned her something.
"Don't worry about it... miss...?" Riverton pried from Amanda.
"Amanda." She responded.
"Stacy. Stacy Riverton pleasure to meet you and your child...?" Riverton replied.
Amanda's jaw almost dropped as she was this near with the business mogul Stacy D. Riverton who made a fortune with stock market, family care products and housing. She was awestruck as she tried to come up with something to say as the lifeguard asked how Stacy was doing.
Candy looked at her mom and saw that for the first time she was making weird faces. In Candy's eye this woman had just shouted to her and now her mother was speechless.
'I just wish my mom had the thing what this weird lady had', Candy thought to herself and hugged her mother's leg.
In a blink of an eye. Amanda was in the chair streching her arms while the lifeguard was talking with her. Candy didn't see the odd woman anywhere and asked from her mother why she went.
"Who my dear?" Amanda responded as she lowered her sunglasses.
"The woman who was sitting there just a moment ago." Candy panicked.
"Was there another woman sitting here? Ha ha ha. These are public seats dear. Mommy doesn't own this seat, even if I could, ha ha." Amanda laughed. "If you have had sun for today we can head home, right Marcus?"
"Let me escort you two back to your car" The lifeguard said and offered his sturdy arm to Amanda.
Candy wasn't sure what had just happened, but as they both arrived near their car ...
