"Watch your mouth young-" Rebecca started, before the bright FLASH erupted, covering them both as they transformed, along with reality. Unfortunately, however they would change, Rick would still be unaware of who he was, thinking whoever or whatever he was going to be, was always how things were.
Emily felt herself fall, and land with her back against something hard. Weirdly, it didn't hurt, but felt... off. She was stuck too, staring off into the mall. After a moment, she tried to move her arm, then her legs and head, but nothing worked. For a moment, she wondered if she was paralyzed, but was quickly distracted upon seeing who was in front of her.
Before her was a little girl, probably around 8. She was short, and was wearing a pretty pink dress with matching shoes. She had long, curly red hair down to her shoulders, with a headband holding the mess back. She looked around confused for a moment, then made eye contact with Emily and smiled. Her face had changed slightly, but it still looked familiar, and Emily would recognize it anywhere.
"Rick?!" She thought, unable to speak.
"Whoops, sorry Emily." The girl that was Rick apologized as she reached towards Emily.
It was only then that Emily realized that Rick wasn't far away... she was huge! Rather, it was Emily who was small, as Rick effortlessly picked her up. Emily was now able to see her arms that were outstretched, and were skinny... and PLASTIC. She saw her hair move, falling in front of her slightly, and it wasn't normal... looking like it was made of fiber rather than hair.
"Shit... I'm a doll! I'm a toy!" She internally screamed.
"Sorry I dropped you Emily." The giant little girl apologized as she brushed Emily's hair aside.
Emily was then swung down, as Rick casually held her in her hand as she started to walk away from the spot. Emily was panicked. She was a doll, a plastic toy, and Rick didn't remember her. As far as the world was concerned, Emily never existed. She was nothing more than some kind of barbie doll. It was then that hope increased as she was able to see that Rick was walking towards the camera.
"Wait... wasn't I holding this?" The little girl wondered as she picked it up with her free hand.
"Rick! Rick please I'm sorry it's my fault, I shoulda immediately made you aware again!" She begged in her mind. "Use the camera! Just flip that switch and you'll remember!"
"Regan!" Emily heard a woman call. "Regan lets go sweetie!"
"Oh shit is that his mom? I guess it makes sense... shoot, what if she takes the camera!? Rick hurry!" She screamed in her plastic head, a basic smile painted onto her face showing no sign of her panic.
Rick, or rather Regan, stared at the camera. It had a some weird words on it, and something about it felt familiar too. She heard her mom call, and knew she had to get going, that was when...
