The garage was a separate building from the main house. the side door was located in the backyard. a high fence and thick plant life prevented Ash from seeing his kids. he told them to call the CDC man and tell him what happened. he approached the door.
the window seemed to be blacked out on it. he twisted the knob but found it stuck. ash keep trying with the side door. for some reason, it wouldn't open. eventually, he managed to open it.
he gasped at what looked like tar coating the door in a thick membrane. "come on I'm just trying to get to Mike" he said as he swiped at the goop. This proved to be a mistake. the black goop latched onto his hand. he watched in horror as the goop broke away from the doorway and began covering him.
Before he could scream he was already covered completely. the following was happening in just 5 minutes. first, his posture shifted to an angle. his height increased as did his torso. the only thing that didn't change was his arms, in size at least.
beneath the liquid cocoon, his fingers simplified to two digits and a thumb. black claws appeared on these as well as his changing feet. speaking of, they increased as his ankles were raised. five toes becoming 4. his big toes moved with his ankles and became smaller than the rest.
