The girl, named Macy, arrived at the school building. She was really done with class, but knew she had to push on. Just the final exams to go and she would finally be rid of this cursed place.
Taking a seat next to her friend Sam, they talked until their first class began. The teacher was late today, which was odd since that normally never happened. Macy talked to Sam about her shopping and Sam urged her to invite her along next time.
Looking around the room, Macy noticed another person was missing. Her rival, Kat, still hasn't arrived to class. Suddenly the door slammed open.
"Good morning class." An unknown woman said as she entered. "Your teacher is unfortunately unable to make it today." She glances at her shoes, which Macy thinks is odd. "Luckily for you, I am here to replace her." The class breathes a collective sigh at this.
"Okay, so I am Miss Kat-.. erine." The new teacher stumbles over her own words. "Today we will be handling very advanced math. Let's see who can solve this equation." She looks around the room, Macy is sitting as low as she can in hopes of not beeing spotted. "Macy... why don't you come forward." Macy growns as she is called up. "Wait, how do you know my name, miss?" Macy asks confused.
"I know all of you very well, as your classes reputation preceeds you. Alas, begin."
Macy is dumbfounded at the complex problem presented to her. "I can't solve this miss. I'm sorry."
"Is it too complicated my dear? Would anyone else want to try?" Your friend Sam steps up for you to try and help, but she too is unable to solve it.
"Perhaps some of you lack a certain... basic understanding of math. In fact, I think all of you do. Not to worry. I have a solution, for all of you."
Miss Katherine whips out a wooden stick and waves it around the class room.
