"Hello? Hello! Anybody here?"
Bong-cha, Set, and Luca paused as a voice now echoed through the parking garage. Nobody came here, at least in the time since they had settled down. The three monster now quieted, it seemed they would be disposing of another body later today. Staring towards the far end of the garage, the trio was puzzled as two individuals approached.
"Oh good," a man said happily. "See I told you this place wasn't abandoned." The man's companion scoffed, stomping her foot down. Bong-cha and the others now looked at one another before gazing at the odd pair in confusion. "Hey man don't know who you are but this is our spot," Bong yelled. "Best to kick rocks!"
The man though seemed unimpressed by Bongs statement, continuing his slow march forward as he studied the punk band carefully. "Hmmm vampire, werewolf, and oh wow a mummy," he said in awe. "Yes these three do have quite a bit of promise."
"Oy who the hell are you," Luca exclaimed.
"Sorry," the man blushed. "Where are my manners. I'm the Boss and this attractive woman is Ann or did we decide on Blackbird? You've been a bit moody since that spell." Ann huffed, rolling her eyes once more as the trio now studied this odd pair. Already Bong-cha could tell the woman was a vampire but why was she standing around with a human. Stranger still, how did this guy know what they were. "Luca," Bong said. "Get em out of here."
Luca smirked, the werewolf cracking his knuckles as he began to approach. Before he could reach the Boss though, he was surprised by Ann. The vampiric woman grabbing his wrist before tossing him to the floor. Luca grunted in pain as Ann now wrenched his arm behind him. The werewolf whimpering, it felt as if the vampire was going to tear his arm from its socket.
"Luca," Bong-cha exclaimed. Both mummy and vampire now lept from the couch, looking to help their friend. Whoever this guy was he was going to pay. "Whoa settle down," the Boss said quickly. Bong-cha and Set wouldn't listen though, no one messed with their friend. Seeing no other recourse, the Boss simply shook his head as he cast a spell.
An odd sensation now crept over the vampire and mummy. Whoever this guy was, he was a wizard. Still, the magic he hit them with felt different than what they had seen in the past. Their momentary confusion though was quickly replaced by alarm as the duo felt their clothing slip on their bodies. "What the hell," Bong exclaimed as her flannel pants slipped from her waist. Set also now found herself wrestling with her robe that began to swallow her form. "Whats happening to us," Set gasped. "Are we shrinking!"
"Uh yeah thought that was obvious," the Boss stated, watching as the two monsters dwindled before his eyes. "Needed to cut you two down to size."
"Well stop," Bong yelled, her voice rising in octave as she found her height cut in half. The two girls now swamped in their former outfits. Thr Boss chuckled, finding the pair oddly adorable. "Aww look Ann," he said in a mocking tone. "They look like two kids who raided their moms closet. Aren't they cute?"
Ann said nothing, simply stomping her foot once. Now Set and Bong found themselves wrestling with their clothes. The two monsters couldn't be more than 2 1/2 feet tall, their clothing draped over them like a tarp. "Change us back," they pleaded, trying to maintain some semblance of their punk personas. The Boss simply grinned, noting the fear in their eyes. "In a minute," he smiled. "First, I have a business proposition for you."
Bong and Set were silent, their heads tilted upwards as they gazed wide eyed at the Boss. "See ladies I've been on a recruitment drive as of late," he said. "My organization, The Normal, recently came here. We're looking for bright, young, strong individuals, such as yourselves, to work for me."
"We don't work for the man," Set called.
"You didn't let me finish," the Boss replied. "Where was I? Oh yes! So you see I've been going out into the community looking for individuals such as yourselves. You have a great deal of potential, I think it would be mutually beneficial for both us if you came and worked for me."
"And what if we say no?"
"If you say no, you say no," the Boss shrugged. "But, I couldn't leave you three running around unchecked. I guess I could just shrink you three down to cock roach size. Test out the new soles on these shoes. Hate to do it though. Monster guts are always a pain in the ass to clean out of treads." Bong-cha and Set gulped looking first to eachother than the giant, leering face of the Boss. The smile on the man's face told them all they needed to know. He wasn't asking, he was telling them. Work for him or they were dead. What choice did they have?
"Okay we'll do it."
"Splendid," the Boss said happily. With a flick of his wrist, Bong-cha and Set now found themselves returned to their original size as Ann released Luca's arm. "You won't regret this kids," the Boss said happily. "Our organization provides competitive pay, benefits, hell even a retirement package. Best of all you can still perform in your little Rock band. In fact, I want you to so you can tell me what you see."
The trio said nothing, scowling at this human as he turned to leave. "Best of all kiddies I got a place for you to stay," he said. "A new home with everything you could want. Even a shower." The Boss paused, a disgusted look on his face as he studied the punk band. "Definitely take advantage of the shower."
As the Boss and Ann left, the three monsters nervously gazed st one another. What exactly had they just gotten into?
