The detatched tail almost immediately withered to a little fuzzy nub and a small choir of voices from somewhere sang a few notes as Frey@ returned to life, her eyes glowing and her mane positively flaring vividly.
"Good to see you understand at least the principle of your purpose. These tails of yours are a gift. Such power can they hold, and so many ways can they gather it. The generators used in the world of man to light their cities. The tranquility of those sites they find most sacred..." Her mane suddenly began flickering in that way that showed her punkier side coming back through for a moment, "YOU COULD FIND SOME MORTAL LOSER AND SUCK HIM DRY!" She then regained her composure. "The more energy you take in, the fuller and brighter your tails shall grow, and you may grow giddy and erratic from the thrill, as yours is not a vessel truly made to hold such energies. Some you may use as you will. Your kind is graced with the power of illusion and trickery. It should be easy, should you will it, to appear as a mortal woman, or a simple vixen... but with greater power, you may take on any appearance. Speak the tongue of any land. Fully charged you may even find yourself able to shape the world around you, such as I... but ultimately, you must bring the power of the world to me...or a more pliable servant better suited to the task. Else... misfortune... will surely... befall you." Her voice was starting to slow, suggesting it would take a fair deal more power for her to do much but lecture like this. "Now, go!"
As the monitor behind B.A. sprang back to life, the intimidating centaur suddenly grabbed her and threw her straight into the portal. Once again, as she traveled through the internet, she became a speedy little fox almost instantly, struggling to even keep her feet under her with the momentum she'd been given, as she barreled towards an exit which seemed blocked by some sort of folded cloth. Finding herself unable to slow down in time, she quickly learned exactly what it was as she burst out of a laptop screen, returning automatically to her "normal" form, and slammed somewhat painfully into the chest of a man in the loose-fitting robes of a Shinto priest and thick glasses, knocking him on his back, and leaving her laying atop him in a rather embarrassing position. Particularly as she still hadn't gotten around to the matter of finding clothes.
While deciding how to recover from such a state, and perhaps apologize, B.A. couldn't help but notice her new surroundings. A tiny dingy dusty shrine, deep in a forest with a wide dirt and gravel road leading off in one direction, and a narrow overgrown path leading up a hillside towards a clearing full of intricately carved rocks, with several large red torii gates along the way.
