The truck raced along the interstate, then turned off on to a county road with several stops, then on to a gravel drive. Finally, it stopped, and the engine turned off.
Chad smelled lots of dogs.
"Welcome to your new home, Chad!" said the man reaching in the crate. He grabbed Chad's collar, and yanked the animal out of the crate.
Chad yelped. He couldn't believe it. He looked up into his capto-owner's face.

Brutus could smell Chad's fear and dread. He started barking louder and faster, and jumping around Chad's animal crate.
