While Walter does have some friends, including girls, he has a terrible time getting a girlfriend. Even when he got a girlfriend, it only lasted for a couple of weeks until either they left him or someone else took them away. Hidden between various other pieces of tech, Walter pulls out the old palm-pilot-looking thing and presses a few buttons on it to see if it still works.
The screen on the device flashes the name "Reality Writer Pro" with the subtitle "Bring your world to life with a push of a button". After the title screen, Walter was led to the main menu where he could start writing down lite stories and prose about whatever he wanted. "Maybe I can write myself a girlfriend that can never leave me," Walter mumbled to himself while he walked back to the front of the store to pay for the tablet.
Walter exited the store, feeling quite happy that he didn't have to pay for the writer tool. "For you, free! Just make sure you share your stories with me. Deal?" were the last words that the shopkeeper told Walter when he asked for how much it was. He hopped into his car and drove to his current home, a massive Victorian house that his Aunty asked Walter to house-sit while she was on an epic cruise in the Pacific. Turning the Reality Writer Pro back on and clicking past the title screen, Walter began to write out his own manic pixie dream girl that wouldn't leave him.

Then there was a sudden flash of light and a very loud "POP" in front of Walter. When Walter was able to see again, he couldn't believe his eyes. Standing right in front of him was Ginie, the girlfriend that he had typed out on the Reality Writer Pro.
