Ellen was breathing heavily as she ran across the beach on her normal daily run. She had to keep her figure or else no one would watch her videos about mermaids. She had learned early in her “career” that having a beautiful blonde women infront of the camera meant more views on her videos. She did have a normal job as a para-legal in an office but her passion was making videos about mermaid-life. How to make the best forming tail, how to secure the tail to one’s legs and how to move through the water. She also did videos on ancient mermaid lore and different mermaid types in culture. She had around 150,000 followers on her pages and videos which she felt was pretty good given the type of videos she was making.
In truth she would have kept doing the videos even if she wasn’t as good looking as she knew she was. Her passion for mermaids swim deep in her veins and she knew deep down she was a mermaid in her heart.
She ran to her normal stopping point near an old dock and came to a stop, raising her hands over her head so she could breathe more deeply.
What others saw was a beautiful young woman in her mid-twenties, wearing a purple sports bra and a pair of black shorts. Her long blonde hair tied back as she took a breath.
What she didn’t know was three sets of eyes were watching her from the end of the docks.
Those eyes belonged to her best friend Velocity, Velocity’s husband Tim and the mermaid goddess who had transformed them both into the first of her new subjects, Queen Aquaris.
“That is Ellen, my goddess.” Said Velo
“Good.” Said Aquaris, in truth she didn’t know what an influencers was but this Ellen was spreading the word about mermaids and merman which made her think of a priestess. “Call to her.”
“Are you sure?” inquired Tim only to get a glare from Aquaris. “Sorry my goddess.”
Ellen was about done with her break and was about to turn back and do her run back to her apartment when she heard Velo’s voice. That shouldn’t have been possible considering Velo should have been on the other side of the world enjoying her honeymoon. But the calling out of her name kept coming from the end of the old docks and she saw movement at the end.
So she began to walk out. The docks where old but totally safe, she had seen fisherman hear all the time and had even used it as a place to slip in and out of her tail when she was doing underwater shoots. What she found at the end of the docks would change her life forever.
“My God…Velo?” inquired Ellen as she looked at her best friend who was in the water, her brown hair had been changed into pitch black and she looked like her body had become a super model version of herself. The thing that also stood out was that she now had a beautiful red and gold mermaid tail. By her was Tim who had become much more handsome with a dark blue with some silver in mermaid tail.
“Yes.” Confirmed Velo “We have someone we want you to meet.”
With that another figure appeared, she rose from the water on a small pillar of water which looked like a throne. She was a beautiful mermaid with a green tail.
“My God...are you Queen Aquaris?” inquired Ellen as Aquaris blinked.
“How did you know that?” inquired Aquaris
“I saw some ancient carvings of a mermaid Goddess and it looks like you.” Said Ellen her heart race picking up. “My God…you’re a real mermaid goddess? Can you turn me into a mermaid?”
