"I'm just giving you what you deserve. You will become a mushroom," says the fairy in a very mean tone of voice.
"What!?!? A mushroom??!!" you shout.
You want to laugh at the sheer absurdity of such a notion but it is actually fear that grips you. This fairy really does magic. Your change in gender and size really does prove it. And the idea of being a mushroom... Well, it is too horrible to think about! The idea of being immobile, just watching time slip by will be absolutely horrendous! Will you see? Hear? Feel? You'll stay without moving, with tiny roots in the ground and amidst moss and ferns. Then an animal will squash you under its hooves or paws or worse, eat you! Oh, or even more horrible, someone will pick you and dish you in a pan to eat you for their meal! Will you be conscious of your fate? Or will you be content to just enjoy being wet and feeling sunshine on your mushroom skin? It's too horrible to think about! Even being tiny and female sounds like a blessing compared to being a mushroom.
"No!" you scream in utter horror. "Please don't change me into a mushroom! I'm... I'm perfectly happy being like I am now! Thank you for changing me! I never knew how great being a minuscule girl could be!"
But the fairy of course doesn't buy it.
"Stop lying. You don't have enough respect for females, ladies or fay, for that matter. So I'm changing you into a mushroom. But a very special mushroom. Whoever eats you, may they be male or female fay, will become pregnant with you. You'll be reborn as a fay. A cute, darling, beautiful female fay, all cutesy and girly and adoring all things feminine. You'll correspond exactly to a dainty little female baby your new parents will wish for. Won't that be great? Fays have big trouble reproducing so they will love you very, very much! And you'll finally respect females and fay when being one!"
She blows her awful dust in your face and immediately the transformation starts. Your legs and arms snap along your body and melt - no, fuse- with your torso and legs. Your feet retract and vanish. Your bones dissolve. Your damn crotch that has become female, as well as these disgusting boobs vanish - a small consolation. But your butt and entire body become smooth, flat and circular. All of a sudden, your head is pushed upwards, flaring and flattening. It is painless but the strangest sensation. You cannot speak or see anymore, but you can hear and feel. And the last thing you see is a soft pink color, as well as golden stars, spreading on your new body. You then hear the fairy clap her hands at the result of her spell and hoist you up so as to take you to a fay trader.
The fay trader is an ogre who is delighted by the money he can get by selling you off. He places you in a white box bedecked with a plethora of ribbons and bows - all pink- which would ulcerate you if you could see it. The fairy goes off with diamonds as payment. You are left alone in the dark to hear whatever you can, wondering anxiously who will buy you and how you'll be reborn. Becoming a female for sure is frightening enough... but a fay?
