Moments after the family meeting, everyone had left the living room except Alissa, Andy, and Ricky. They were sitting on their couch facing the television, and they were talking about the meeting that just transpired.
“I guess we’re stuck as the opposite gender for a whole week; yuck, a whole week as a smelly boy, how am I even going to use the bathroom?” Alissa groaned as the girl turned boy scrunched up her face.
“We might go back to normal sooner; they might just be saying this shit to scare us." Ricky found it off-putting when he spoke, as his voice was now that of a prepubescent girl. "Dude, their deaths are serious,” said Andy.
The clock on their wall struck 3 p.m., and Alissa let out a squeal. "Finally, it’s time for ‘Live for Love’ to be on,” she said, before she then ran out of the room. Andy groaned, and he snuck onto the couch. “What the hell is ‘Live for Love'?” asked Ricky.
“Some dumb chick flick girls are really into it; Jenny dragged me to the cinema on opening night to see it; it’s about some sick boy falling in love; I don’t even know what happens; I feel asleep like 10 minutes in,” Andy explained before Alissa came running in with a box of tissues and a bowl of popcorn.
"Alisa, we ain’t watching this girly crap; turn on the game instead,” said Ricky. Alissa smirked. "Well, you guys are girls, so we’re watching this girly movie, plus I hid the remote, so... touch luck.”
Both Ricky and Andy let out a long, disapproving sigh. The movie started up, and Alissa was eagerly watching the movie while the other two were glued to their phones with their legs spread out, sitting like they still had balls between their legs. About 10 minutes into the movie, Alissa had eaten half of the bowl of popcorn. She was bored of the movie, and she often found herself getting easily distracted. However, Ricky and Andy were quite the opposite; both of the boys had their eyes glued to the television screen.
She dropped the bowl of popcorn and tissues on the coffee table before standing up. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I would rather do homework." Alissa then got up and left the living room. Ricky was sitting with his chin resting on his knees, his feet on the couch, and his arms hugging his legs. Andy was sitting crossed-legged on the couch.
The two boys watched Alissa leave, and they turned to each other. “We should probably look for the remote so we can watch the game instead,” Ricky said. "Yeah, great idea,” said Andy, but neither boy moved a muscle. They got halfway through the movie, and neither boy wanted to admit it, but ‘Live for Love’ was slowly becoming both their favourite movies ever. They both loved the story lines, the characters, and the love story.
In a scene where the two leads began making out, even though he was meant to play a sick man, the actor was anything but. Noah L’Orèal was muscular and had a model-like face. He began undressing, and there was a noticeable bulge in his jeans. Andy couldn’t help himself; as much as he tried to resist, his eyes were all over Noah L'Oréal. Andy could feel a stirring between his legs. The former jock simply put the bowl of popcorn on his lap, and he tried to ignore this feeling. Ricky too was having a similar feeling, but being in the body of a prepubescent girl, he was a lot more confused. He had butterflies in his tummy, he was blushing up a storm, and he was feeling flustered. Ricky tried to convince himself that he was looking at the female lead, but in truth, he couldn’t keep his eyes off Noah.
The final scene of the movie left both boys in tears. Ricky was blowing into a tissue while Andy used a tissue to wipe hot tears that were rolling down his cheeks. The final scene was the male lead and the female lead getting married after the male lead beat his illness. The credits rolled, and it took several minutes for both boys to calm down from the emotional ending.
Once they had settled down, the two brothers looked at each other, both feeling embarrassed. “We can’t tell anyone about this!” Andy had his head in his hands, and Ricky was asked a few times today to keep a few secrets so one more didn’t feel "definitely" impactful.
