After Mandy asked the spirit for its name, the planchet starts to move, it moves from letter to letter until it had spelled out “princess Joan”.
The girls look at each other, “princess Joan,” Lizzie asks, “are we really talking to a princess?”
The planchet then moves to “yes”.
“Whoa,” the girls say, “okay… um… Joan… I’m sorry, princess Joan… how old are you,” Ashley then asks.
The planchet moves and stops on the number “8”.
“Oh,” the girls say, “that… that is really sad! How… how did you die?”
The planchet tells the girls that Joan had died due to an illness, then the girls continue to ask questions. Soon they learned that Joan had been the daughter of King Charles the first and Queen Elizabeth, during the Victorian era.
What the girls are unaware of, princess Joan has her eyes on a certain little girl, sitting on the bed.
Joan is so upset that she died so young, but now thanks to these girls she’s back in the realm of the living, but for how long? The princess is scared, that once the girls stop talking with her, that she’ll be pulled back into the spirit realm, ‘I am NOT going back,’ Joan thinks to herself, ‘I want to live again, even if that means to not be royalty anymore! But all of the girls, except the one on the bed are to old. I need a body! I think the best choice is the girl sitting on the bed, she looks really pretty and should be the same age as me!’
“Jess” is unaware of the spirit walking towards her, but she does feel more uneasy than before, ‘this is so creepy,’ she thinks to herself.
Joan stops in front of “Jess”, who she assumes to be a little girl, unaware that the girl is in reality a teenage boy, who transformed himself into a young girl. The spirit smiles, ‘her body looks so perfect,’ she thinks to herself, ‘she even looks like me when I was still alive. Her body is mine!’
The spirit elevates into the air until she is floating directly above “Jess”, smiling to herself, Joan positions herself exactly the same way “Jess” is positioned. She then starts to lower herself, starting to enter the “girl’s” body.
“Jess” shivers a little when she feels a strange coldness come over her, ‘wh-why am I suddenly feeling so cold,’ she asks herself, but soon the sensation fades, ‘that was weird!’
Unaware to “Jess”, Joan has possessed her body, but hasn’t taken over control just yet, wanting to first learn about her new body, and feed off the memories of her host in order to pass as her.
Joan is shocked when she learns that the girl is actually a boy, ‘great,’ she thinks to herself, ‘now I am stuck in this body! I don’t want to be a boy! I got to get to that Chronivac thing before she… he becomes a boy again! This body is mine and not his anymore!’
The spirit inside of “Jess” is not happy, but then a thought come to her mind, Joan smirks, ‘maybe… maybe I am able to manipulate… her into wanting to stay a girl,’ she thinks to herself, ‘and I think I know how to do that.’
