Anna hugged Miss Celeste tightly while she ran to get the tea set. But she stumbled over the throw rug by the closet and began to fall. She caught herself, but
dropped Miss Celeste in the process.
Anna gasped. She thought for a moment that her beautiful governess' head, now porcelain, would smash to pieces. To her relief, the head of the doll fell on top of
the rug, now bunched up by Anna's mishap. There was a soft thud. In a panic, Anna picked up the doll and carefully examined it's head.
"It's all right," she said with a sigh of relief. "Nothing's broken, not even a crack."
"Anna," said Miss Celeste. "Please, don't leave like this, not even for a second longer! I'm so scared you might break me, even by accident."
"All right," said Anna. "I'm sorry, I don't want anything bad to happen to you! I know! I'll turn you into ... "
