Despite being male in the real world, you had always played as feminine or full on female characters in video games. Especially MMOs, like in Sci-Fi City, thanks to your friends playing as such. So without a second guess, you selected the pink hexagon, soon watching as the figure in front of you gained characteristically feminine features. Nothing too detailed for both the sake of keeping this game from being adult-only and to give you the room to create your own character. To mold this blank slate into a satisfying form to start with.
Specifically, the design of the blank slate began to grow 'soft'. Rounding out and slimming down, with limbs growing dainty and the torso gaining subtle but distinct curves. With a transparent hairpiece soon appearing over the head, shifting in styles and lengths. Heck, the entire design of the figure switched around, constantly changing proportions. From the height and thickness, to the size of the breasts; hips and rear: From being plump and round to being flat or even barely existent. Weird.
And as you watched this endlessly shifting white figure, you began to see four hexagons fly towards you. Giving you a good look at your options, and reviewing your recollections of the previous game... It seemed to be largely the same, from basic (but incredibly flexible and heavily focused on) Humans, the (excessively) specialized Aliens from beyond human space (usually as antagonists or indifferent NPCs in the previous title), and the versatile (but humanlike) robots. Beyond the addition of this strange new 'Mutant' option, it shouldn't be too different.
Right?- Well.
