"Oh dear! Oh dear! Where could they have gone?" Came a voice from behind.
Alice quickly turns around and sees The White Rabbit just several yards from where she was standing. He appeared to be staring at the ground, frantically looking for something. Remembering how The White Rabbit had taken off with her remote, Alice clinched her fists in anger.
'Alright jerk, time for you to give me back what is mine.' Alice thought.
Alice then began stomping towards The White Rabbit, intending to yell at him. But as she approached him however, Alice's demeanor had quickly changed. Her stomping had turned into soft skips. Her fists had opened up. Her arms were now swaying back and forth while hovering over her skirt. And her anger had been dissipated, replaced by overwhelming curiosity over whatever The White Rabbit was doing. All the while, Alice had been so focused on catching up to him that she didn't realize what was happening to her. Not that she could really think about it once she was right next to The White Rabbit that is.
"Excuse me sir. I don't wish to bother you. But if I could just ask for your time sir, I would be most grateful to you." Alice delicately asked.
"No! No! No time! No time at all! I'm late! I'm late! And I've lost my fan and gloves!" The White Rabbit frantically responded.
Upon hearing about the missing items, Alice's eyes widen as she looked down at her glove-covered hands and at her skirt.
'Those must have been the same fan and gloves I found back in the hallway. The same ones that are now part of my wardrobe.' Alice thought.
Alice breathed a sigh as she spoke to The White Rabbit again.
"Um, actually sir. I think I might know what happened to your fan and gloves."
"Huh?" The White Rabbit responded.
"What did you-"
But as The White Rabbit turned to face Alice, he went from being surprised to being furious as he stood up straight with his fists planted on his hips. Alice quickly felt intimidated as The White Rabbit, who had originally been as big as a normal rabbit, now stood a full head taller than her.
"Mary Ann! What are you doing out here?" The White Rabbit sternly asked Alice.
"Mary Ann?" Alice questioned. "But I'm not-"
"Never mind that now! Run home and fetch me a new pair of gloves at once!" The White Rabbit commanded while pointing.
"But sir. I-"
"DO AS YOUR TOLD MARY ANN! GO! NOW!" The White Rabbit shouted.
Startled, Alice began running in the direction he was pointing at and didn't stop for anything. The White Rabbit just starred as she ran off.
"{sighs} I swear. That blasted girl is gonna get herself beheaded someday."
