Dave suddenly found himself in what looked like a white empty room. Frantically looking around, Dave saw the same thing, an endless white floor stretching beyond his vision. He wasn't even sure he could see any walls in the distance. Nor could he tell how far the floor went. Above him was like a white void. It was not the color of white as the floor. Dave wasn't even sure there was a ceiling above him or if it was endless. Despite not seeing any lights or the sun, Dave's body was still light up, like he was outside on a pretty clear day.
Besides this strange environment, Dave also immediately noticed that he was the only one here. None of his family, nor the guy at the desk were there. Dave was confused and frightened by this sudden change, when a voice spoke up.
"Congratulations Dave! You have been selected to be upgraded to VIP during your stay."
Dave jumped when he heard the voice. He looked around for the source, but couldn't see anything. "What are you talking about?" Dave demanded. "And where am I?"
"It's ok," the voice replied calmly. "This is not a physical location. It's closer to a world within your mind. Your body is still at the resort check in desk. As for what I am talking about…" The voice trailed off a bit and paused for moment. Immediately, solid white panels rose out of the ground and floated above it. On each panel appeared easy to read text. Dave jumped back on seeing the panels rise, so he didn't immediately register what was written on them.
After a moment, Dave noticed that the panel had text on it about the VIP thing the voiced mentioned.
"What is this VIP thing?" Dave asked, unsure what was going on.
"The VIP is a visitor who is randomly selected to for a bigger experience than normal visitors, " the voice began to explain.
"First, the VIP is able to apply transformations to anyone at this resort. This can be any transformation, includingsome not offered to normalvisitors, " The voice explained. "Secondly, the VIP can choose how aware people are of these changes."
The idea of changing others kind of turned Josh on. This was something he had been wanting to do for so long.
The voice continued. "Third, the VIP can do mental and reality changes on guests, a feature that normal guests do not get that much control of. With this, they can change the thoughts and lives of people."
Dave interrupted. "What?" He asked, baffled by this development.
The voice explained. "As the VIP, you can change the thoughts and lives of people. Let's say you want a guest here to be your friend. With this you can make them a friend of yours suddenly, or that you were friends for years. And finally, once you leave, you decide which changes you made stay and which go back." The voice finished off. "There are other benefits you have access to as the VIP. I listed them off on these panels."
Dave examined the panels and saw the text written on them.
