The Magic Shop

Rise of the Pretty Solar Guardians

added by Liquid O A month ago O Magic Clothes

After Halloween Miranda had decided to focus on her studies, despite Amara’s insistence on distracting her.
The demon had assumed her cat form and was laying on her schoolwork.

“Come on gata, you can’t keep turning into a cat around here, my parents don’t know about all this magic stuff and I don’t want them to know.” Miranda said pushing her cat girlfriend off her desk.

“Maybe I should start going to school, you’re always studying and stuff.” Amara said returning to her human form.

“Schools about doing work and learning, it’s not a place you go to have fun.” Miranda replied.

“Whatever so am I invited to thanksgiving?” The cubby brunette asked.

“Uh…about that.” The black haired girl replied.

“You’re kidding me, you still haven’t told your parents about us?” Amara asked.

“No, it’s just— I know they’ll be accepting, it’s just so much has happened and I guess I never got around to it.” Miranda said getting flustered.

“So let’s just tell them at thanksgiving.” Amara offered.

“No, that’s not a good idea. My abuelo and abuela on my papá’s side are really old fashioned, I don’t think it’s a good idea to do that on thanksgiving.” She revealed.

“You’re lucky you’re so cute.” The demon said and Miranda blushed harder and hit her face in her baggy sweater’s sleeves.

Amara grabbed her girlfriend’s arms and pulled them away from her face and kissed her. Despite the mixed girl’s embarrassment she kissed back and closed her eyes. When she opened them again she saw a girl around their age with dark skin and curly hair that was tied back in a tight ponytail in an attempt to tame her gorgeous locks. She wore a baggy hoodie over black leggings and running shoes, around her neck was a pair of red headphones.
When Miranda saw this she pushed her girlfriend away and stood up with her magical terro card she slipped out of her pocket.

“Wh-what the hell are you doing here?” She stammered in embarrassment.

“Calm down cuz, I’m not your enemy. In fact I’m the complete opposite.” She said putting her hands up.

“What do you mean? Do you know this girl?” Amara spoke, beginning to summon her demon power.

“This is Jenna Poole, she’s my prima on my Mamá’s side. Are you here for thanksgiving?” Amara asked putting her card away,

“No, we’re going down to Florida for the holidays, I came here for a more important reason.” Jenna explained and backed away from the two.

“Just—promise me you won’t laugh.” She said and brought out a terro card similar Miranda’s only with a mercury symbol on it.

Jenna took the card and tapped it to her silver wrist gauntlets similar to Miranda’s. In a brilliant flash of light her entire body was consumed in a reddish glow and her clothes turned a glowing pink and reshaped themselves into an outfit that was a mix between a schoolgirl and Xena; with a tiny red pleated skirt, a detached shirt collar with a big red bow, red and silver high heeled boots that were thigh length, her modest breasted were covered in a form fitting boob plate with frill edges, long red gloves under her silver bracelets with a mercury symbol adorning them. Her tight ponytail was reformed into two braided pigtails with red bows and a silver tiara on her forehead that held a bright orange-red gemstone at its center.

When her transformation was completed she tugged nervously at her tiny skirt and blushed.

“I-I didn’t choose this outfit, none of us are able to, so don’t think I like it!” Jenna said bashfully.

“Jenna? You’re a magical girl too?!” Miranda said approaching her cousin.

“Power down!” The black girl said and her magical garments vanished and she returned to her more sensible clothing before continuing.

“Yes, I’m a Solar Guardian just like you.” She said.

“Really? Do you guys have like names or titles or something?” Amara asked.

“Yes! I am the pretty guardian of the solar system! I fight for love and justice! My name is Guardian Mercury!” Jenna seemed to spontaneous and enthusiastically announce while striking a pose.

Amara bursted out laughing, Jenna broke her pose and tried to attack the girl but Miranda stepped between them.

“Whoa what’s wrong?” The mixed girl asked.

“You shifty demon! That was embarrassing! You know that magical girl guardians are compelled to announce themselves like that even if they don’t want to!” Jenna said still trying to grab Amara.

“Wait is that true? Please don’t make me do that.” Miranda pleaded to her girlfriend.

“Yes, when asked who you are when powered up; every Magical Guardian Girl must announce themselves like that. Miranda, you are Guardian Sun.” She explained.

Amara backed off and put her hands up,
“Okay, okay. I’m sorry Jenna but that was so funny, you posed with a smile and everything. Miranda, it would be so cute if you did that, please!” The chubby girl said.

“No Amara, besides Mamá or Papá might come up here, I can’t risk that.” Miranda said blushing nervously.

The sleep demon shrugged her shoulders and agreed. Then the two turned back to the other girl.

“So why did you come here? Just to tell me about your powers?” The mixed girl asked.

“Not just that. I came here to explain that the world is under many supernatural threats, there will be a great battle soon and so the Solar Guardians have been awakened to fight for peace and freedom.” Jenna explained.

“Who are the other Guardians?” Miranda asked.

“Every hundred years; nine girls are chosen to inherit the powers of the Pretty Solar Guardians You are the leader of the Guardians: Guardian Sun, I am Guardian Mercury. I don’t know who or where the other girls are, the magical cards appear to those who they deem worthy, but I have a feeling we’ll meet them eventually. For now we’ll wait, I have to get back home, we’ll be leaving for Florida any second now.” Jenna explained.

“Wait, any second? How did you get here? How are you going to get there in time?” The girls asked.

“Simple, being Guardian Mercury grants me amazing speed but not enough to move that fast, so I’ll need to power up: when I transform I can harness my magic and power up to Astro-Mode: every solar guardian is able to do this and it greatly increases our power but only for a short time.” She said and once again transformed into a magical girl.

Once she was in her base Solar Guardian form she exploded into light and her hair became a glowing white and her schoolgirl-like outfit was shining silver.
With a nod to the two other girls she jumped out the window and sped away in a flash of silver.

“That’s so cool! You’re like an official magical girl now! I wonder who the others are?” Amara said.

“I guess so. Let’s not worry about the other Guardians until after thanksgiving, it’ll be hard enough without a bunch of magical things happening.” Miranda said and sat on her bed, hugging her pillow.

“You’re so cute when you’re shy. Which is great because you’re always shy!” Amara said and joined her girlfriend on her bed and kissed her as she wrapped her arm around her shoulders.
