Ty groaned a bit as he settled next to the mall fountain while Pete and Jake tore into their sandwiches. His appetite might be going crazy, but an entire pizza was a bit much for his stomach. Good thing his wide bony shoulders needed billowy shirts, since it felt like he had a watermelon shoved in his gut. Idly patting the small lump of food, Ty felt his eyes start to drift closed.
"Hey." Jake poked him in the side. "No. No food coma."
Ty winced and shuffled a bit further away from his friend. It wasn't his fault! Even if he was already the "big friend" now, based on his earlier wishes he was gonna, like, double in size over the next year or two. More if his foster parents were dicks about it. It took a lot of energy!
Ty's grumbling was interrupted when he saw Pete jogging back from the food court. Looking to the side, he saw his friends had finished with their sandwiches. Pete must have thrown away all the wrappers or something. As his smaller friend passed the mall fountain, Ty saw him hesitate, then fish in his pocket and flick in a quarter.
Huh.
While Pete walked the rest of the way over, Ty flicked out his hand and a clipboard appeared. Making this thing earlier had been a great way for Ty to "have a part time job" so that he could buy better clothes. Now though, his old wish to grant other people's fountain wishes would let him see what Pete asked for.
"What's that Ty?" Ty startled and looked over at Jake, who currently had Pete in a headlock. Pete stopped flailing for a second and gave Ty a curious look too.
"Nothing," Ty said fast, "just, um, need to lOOk quick."
"OooOkaaAaay," Pete warbled back teasingly, only to yelp as Jake gave him a noogie and fake-scolded him for 'teasing poor baby Ty'.
Ty rolled his eyes and read Pete's wish.

Ty was a bit surprised. Pete had never seemed to mind his height before. Then again, Ty's memories were a little off about it, since before yesterday he and Pete had been close to the same size. Ty glanced over where Pete had mostly stopped flailing and was kind of just dangling in Jake's headlock, dramatically playing dead while Jake snickered. It still looked like Pete was just clowning around, but maybe it did bother him. He'd made a wish about it, anyway. Just like Ty had.
And wasn't that all that mattered, really?
Mind made up, Ty agreed to grant the wish, pocketed the extra dollar that appeared on the clipboard, and stowed it away. Then he cleared his throat, LOUDLY, and grinned as Pete and Jake scrambled back up. Pete a bit more awkwardly as his pants rode up showing off a bit of ankle.
"If you two are dOne, I thought we were gOing to help PEte out too." Ty didn't think he could pull off sarcastic with the warble voice from hell, but eh. "I'm not the only one who grEw recently."
Pete blushed and rubbed his neck, but Ty thought his friend looked pleased, even with just an extra two inches. Pete nudged Ty in the side and started walking backwards toward the clothing stores.
"Oh sure. I may be getting a growth spurt, but you got a Sci-Fi Movie dude." Pete laughed. "I'm not exactly exploding out of my clothes here."
Pete's laugh trailed off, and a strange look crossed his face. After a moment, Pete tensed and grunted, and Ty watched as his small friend seemed to... stretch? A second later, Pete beamed and spun around to go clothes shopping, but now when he moved sometimes a bit of skin peeked out between his shirt and pants.
