"Hey what are those helmets over there?" Your girlfriend asks
"Oh... you put them on, activate them both. Then when they connect to another they swap the consciousnesses of the wearers. memories, certain brain synapses and the like... Basically a bodyswap."
"And they work?" You pulled out the helmets and checked the batteries which were still at full battery despite being in the pile for who knows how long
"Well... No one was able to prove whether or not the cat and dog actually swapped bodies..."
"Well how about we use them? Then pretend to be each other?" Your girlfriend said as she put one on her head and activated it.
"How about we dont?" you tried saying before she put an activated one on your head and when some sparks and noises activated-
"Oh, I'm a genius how a- wait..." came out your voice that was really deep before changing back to its normal form.
You took the helmet off your girlfriend's head as you looked up at your own face as it took it's own helmet off "Well it works... Let's change back..."
"IT WORKS!" Your girlfriend exclaimed "And this was somewhere near the bottom of the pile? Why'd you stop working on it? Imagine what it-"
"Old rich people being immortal, all sorts of exploitation, and a whole lot of other existential questions." You muttered as you weren't exactly sure where to put your hands... Not on your chest, butt... would the hips work or would that potentially also be sexual harassments? You were currently in your girlfriend's curvy body. "I don't want this to get out of hand, so let's try to keep the bodyswap helmets a secret. We can play around for now, but we really should switch back sooner rather than later or the secret will get out!"
