That's when the boredom really go to Brandon. He threw his ball against the wall, ceiling or simply tossed it in the air, his mind wandering idly. Again and again he caught the ball, letting his thoughts go anywhere and nowhere. His problems, worries and boredom swirled within his head, which came out into an involuntary wish.
"I wish I wasn't here bored right now," he sighed deeply and loudly.
Of course Brandon did not know he was making a wish and that within the lamp now in his room, a genie was there, waiting for him to make a wish, no matter what it was. So what he said counted, no matter how vague. And since he -most crucially- had not added another precision or a second wish adding details, well, the genie within the lamp could interpret the young man's wish as HE desired. And for the genie called Beldazar, a newborn genie, what was more, this was incredibly fun. Oh, this wish opened up so many options and opportunities! He was going to have great fun! Not exactly mean fun, more mischievous fun, but he was going to help this teenager get a bit more entertainment out of life. Because clearly the poor kid needed a break and Beldazar would be delighted to give it to him. And why not make the spectacle entertaining for him too? The genie thought quickly about how to interpret the teen's wish and smiled widely. He rubbed his hands and let the magic loose. Oh, yes, teens' desires were truly the best to grant!
