Sylvester was the youngest of three boys. Life hadn't gone exactly as planned for his brothers. His dad had instilled his love of football in all three sons but none of them could make it pro. His eldest brother Arnie had been a high-school football star, but hadn't had the talent needed for a scholarship. Now at 22, he was a garbage truck driver who still lived at home. The middle brother Bruce, had the talent but couldn't keep his grades up to play. Bruce was a senior who needed to get noticed this year.
Finally, Sylvester himself was so incredibly clumsy, he couldn't hope to make the team. However, with the New Life technologies release, and Sylvester just hitting 16, the minimum age to use the device, their dad saw a chance to get his plans on track.
Sylvester's dad read the list. "We make Arnie younger, and increase his coordination to give him a better shot at a scholarship, and we make Bruce smarter." He stopped to think. "Slyvester could probably use a coordination boost as well."
"That sounds great dad!" Bruce exclaimed. "I can pass all my classes by visiting this place?"
Arnie thought about it. "Not psyched about being in high-school again....but I could go for another chance at the scholarship."
Sylvester imagined himself after a trip to New Life. Tall and muscular like his brothers instead of being short and scrawny. "It sounds good to me."
The only member of the family that was uncertain was their mother. "I'm not sure. We would be loosing Arnie's paycheck and trying to send two kids to college at once."
"We won't have to pay if they get scholarships." Their dad reassured her. "Maybe we could add something to the list to sweeten the pot. I was thinking of having some years shaved off myself. Is there anything you want?"
Mom seemed to think about it for a moment. She quickly glanced at Sylvester and looked back at her husband. "I always wanted a daughter." She quickly held out her hand to Sylvester and added, "but we wouldn't want to miss you for the world."
Sylvester sighed. "Why is it that I'm always the girl in this scenario? Arnie could be the girl."
"No I think it should be you." Arnie
"I agree." Bruce added. "Arnie and I already play football, you would have to be trained." Whether Bruce thought that was a big deal, or if he was just jumping on the bandwagon to avoid being a daughter candidate himself, Sylvester wasn't sure.
"What if I want to do stuff with football too?" He asked
"There's always cheerleading." His dad offered. It wasn't exactly what he had imagined but it would get Sylvester closer to the field then he had ever been. They went around a few more times before he finally gave in.
In the end they arrived to the change center with dad handing over the list if changes. The doctor gave them the family plan, which meant changes that happened to the parents could affect the children. This concerned Sylvester because on top of making herself younger, his mother decided she wanted a better figure. This didn't guarantee it, but made it possible that her new daughter "Sylvia" would also have large breasts or some impressive junk in her trunk.
Sylvester sat in a medical gown waiting for his tech. When the door finally open, a beautiful, buxom red-head walked in. "So I just got finished with putting your parents and your brother in their chambers. Your's is being preped, but since you were going for a more extreme change, I was wondering what kind of girl you wanted to be?"
"A cheerleader." Sylvester told her.
She smiled. "I know that, but I was hoping for a few details. Cheerleading will be one part of your life. Tell me, how do you imagine the others?"
