After thanksgiving Miranda took Amara out to the mall, in a way to make up for not being able to have her over for the holiday.
Miranda assured Amara that she would try to come out to her parents sometime before Christmas but the demon was skeptical that her shy girlfriend had the courage to do so.
When they were at the food court Missy came up to them.
“Oh great, can you not bother us for one day.” The cubby girl said.
“Uh… y-you’re Amanda right?” The blonde popular girl asked sitting down.
“Amara. why are you here? And where’s Vicky? I thought you two were inseparable.” Amara asked.
“It’s just me, uh… it’s k-kind of a long story. I was hoping me and Miranda could talk to you about something.” Missy said unusually nervous.
“Don’t tell me Miranda and you planned a threesome?! You shouldn’t have babe.” Amara said, causing the other girls to blush.
“N-no! What the fuck? Of course not!” Missy said a little too loud, causing others in the court to look at the three.
Miranda pulled Missy back down and explained everything that happened and how Missy was now a Solar Guardian like the mixed girl.
“Ha no shit?! This is hilarious! So are you going to trade in your miniskirts and makeup and join us *losers*?” Amara chuckled and resisted making Missy announce herself like every magical girl had to.
“Like no way! I may be a Solar Guardian now but that doesn’t mean I’m one of you—no offense Miranda.” Missy proclaimed.
“Está bien mi conejita.” The black haired girl winked to Missy who subtly kicked her from under the table.
“So with you two and Jenna, that makes three Solar Guardians.” Amara pondered.
“Four actually.” Jenna corrected.
The three looked over to see Jenna with a punkish thug looking girl. The two sat down at the table and Jenna introduced her companion.
“Girls, this is Lilith Kane, she goes to our school. And she’s Guardian Pluto!” The black girl announced.
Lilith sat down and appeared annoyed and slightly surprised to see Missy, the two of them haven’t got along on the past and both were surprised to see the other was also a magical girl too.
“Don’t tell me Missy fucking Fuller is a magical girl too!” The dark clothed girl hissed, fidgeting with a cigarette Jenna told her she couldn’t light inside the mall.
“I AM Guardian Venus, and since you’re Pluto, which isn’t even a planet, I think I outrank you.” Missy said, her typical mean girl persona showing.
“Actually there is no ranks or order to the Guardians, they don’t even have to be planets. Our leader is Guardian Sun and our familiar/adviser is Pokoyo.” Jenna explained.
The black girl unzipped her backpack and a fluffy cute head poked out.
“Guardian Venus, it’s so good to finally meet you Kyu!” He said.
Missy leaned over the table and cuddled the small cat like creature.
“Awww, he’s so cute! Who’s the cutest widdle adviser? You are!” The blonde cooed.
Pokoyo returned her affections and appeared to love that someone had fallen for his cuteness. While Missy continued to fawn over him his eyes met Amara’s, Pokoyo’s big black eyes became white with pin prick pupils before suddenly returning to their normal state when he looked back at the other girls.
Something about the pink creature unsettled the demon but she brushed the feeling aside.
“Now that we’ve all finally met it’s time I tell you about the Jōkikuma. They are malevolent spirits that take possession of humans with a large amount of negative emotions, Mercury and Venus have already face such evil, the ice creature was a Jōkikuma. They can possess various forms and abilities, but the easiest way to identify them is the Japanese school uniforms they wear.” He explained.
“But when I defeated the ice monster, why wasn’t there a human inside or whatever?” Missy asked.
“I’m sorry to say but sometimes if a human is possessed by a Jōkikuma for too long or gives into the darkness inside them, they are permanently bonded to the creatures. There are two ways to destroy a Jōkikuma: one is to save the person inside by appealing to their emotions and healing their hearts with love and compassion, this is very difficult to do as the individual will be corrupted and the Jōkikuma feeds them lies and feeds off their negativity. Just remember the creature won’t just stand there and let you talk.
The other more efficient way is to defeat the monster and the human will be freed.” Pokoyo explained.
“Pokoyo told me that as magical girls we can sense Jōkikuma when they’re nearby, but otherwise he’ll alert us when one appears or if there’s some other danger that needs our attention. Also we shouldn’t go around telling people about our identities as magical girls.” Jenna added.
“Very good Venus Kyu.” He smiled, “As Solar Guardians it is your duty to fight for love and peace and to defeat evil wherever you encounter it, kyu!” He finished.
“What about Darren and the others? Shouldn’t we be focused on helping them and defeating the Normal?” Miranda spoke up.
“Yea, we could also help Ann—I mean Misery and stuff.” Lilith said.
“I think the Catalyst can handle things for now, we don’t all have to stick together all the time. If you feel you have a duty to help elsewhere then you my do so. At least until Darren and his other allies make THE final attack on the Boss and his allies. When that happens everyone from this timeline and the other will fight against this latest incarnation of evil. Just remember to keep the grace and beauty of a Solar Guardian Kyu!” He announced.
Everyone would be returning to school soon. The girls all agreed and went their separate ways for now. Lilith went back to Circe’s park with the help of Pokoyo, not too happy that she also had to return to school so she could help the others. Missy went back to her family’s vacation in the Bahamas. Miranda and Amara decided to continue helping Darren and his friends. Jenna decided to keep a look out for other Solar Guardians.
