The audience clapped and cheered, all joyful and most excited to see what would happen next. Of course, as THEY weren't the victims of Madame Illusia's spells, well, it was all good fun from their point of view, as long as they weren't the ones set up for such an humiliation. One person, however, was not clapping and laughing uproariously and that was Monica, Damon's girlfriend.
"Stop this! Now!" she shouted in absolute anger.
Everyone turned to her, some in the audience frowning and grimacing. In their meanness and selfishness, they merely saw Monica as someone intent on spoiling their fun.
"STOP THIS! YOU HEARD WHAT I SAID!" continued Monica.
She was reassured by the fact that people had quieted down but as that awful witch was just staring at her, she rose from hger seat and stomped onto the stage, all wild and fierce. She talked straight to Madame Illusia.
"You are absolutely vile! Change him back! Now! You've humiliated him enough!" she said violently, positively - and quite understandably - outraged to the extreme.
"It was his choice. And he seemed to like it," grinned Madame Illusia while looking at the crowd in approval.
The crowd in question nodded and agreed openly.
"He was humiliated! You know that! And how could he want to be a horse?"
"He seems plenty happy to me," continued the performer, and the crowd clapped and cheered her on.
"He is a damn and dumb animal! A female! So stop your humiliation right now!"
The crowd started jeering at her, the men especially. They insulted her, called her out, called her mean names, all sorts of horrible things and felt no remorse. They just thought she was spoiling their fun and not seeing she was helping a poor man. As for Madame Illusia, she didn't like being interrupted in her performance and though she could understand this girl's point of view, she wanted to punish her for insulting her, however justified it was. Besides, she wanted to do another transformation and a volunteer, more or less, had the courtesy to show up right away! And perhaps the circus could use a new attraction too.
"It appears you are quite unpopular with the audience," she smiled naughtily. "Let's change that, shall we? No one like a party pooper."
Every one roared their excitement at this and before Monica could protest further, a blast magic hit her, starting her transformation right away.
