As they continue towards the mall, Sarah takes out her phone, knowing the pink haired girl, she probably is texting with one of her friends, so Jeff/”Amy” does not think anything of it.
However, “Amy” is unaware that Sarah had downloaded the Chronivac-App and has it open and the scanner activated. When the girl’s phone gives of a “ping” sound, Jeff assumes that she had just received a text, unaware that he had been scanned by Sarah.
When Sarah opens the “file-tab” she smiles to herself, ‘I thought if I’d scan him while he’s “Amy”, that the program would mistake him for the original, but luckily the file is labelled with his real name,’ she thinks to herself, ‘I assume that’s because he hasn’t changed his name from “Jeff Davis” to “Amanda “Amy” Thomas”. Good, that means I don’t need to worry about accidentally selecting the wrong “Amy”. I’ll leave his file alone for now, maybe I might change something later.’
“Finally, I can see the mall up ahead,” “Amy” suddenly says, tearing Sarah out of her thoughts, the pink haired girl quickly stows her phone into her bra, before looking up.
“About time,” she says, “we should have taken the bus, my feet are killing me.”
“Amy” looks up at the tall girl, “yeah, but if we had, we wouldn’t had the earlier conversation, so I’m happy we walked. But, yeah, my feet are starting to get a little sore from all the walking,” she says, “I’m also starting to feel a little tired. I guess it’s because Amy’s… I mean my body… is much smaller than my original body.”
“Yeah, Amy tends to get tired much quicker than me,” Sarah says, “she never whines though. I assume she doesn’t want to make me mad or something.”
“Well,” the little “girl” says, “can you blame her? I mean, you treat her like a servant, she even needs your permission to talk.”
Sarah simply shrugs, “I just enjoy having power and control over someone,” she says.
“Which is actually surprising,” “Amy” says, “because you aren’t really treating ME like a servant, and you even don’t seem to get mad when I talk “without permission”. Why is that? Is it because I’m not the original?”
The two reach the automatic doors of the mall and step inside, Sarah lowers her voice a little, so that no one can hear their conversation, before answering, “well, to tell you the truth: that is a part of the reason. It just feels weird, treating YOU like a servant or getting mad at you for talking, since I know who you really are,” the tall girl then sighs, “but, I have to admit, during school, you really did a fantastic job mimicking the original, so I figured to, like, give you a break, since it’s just the two of us. If my other friends would be here too, I might treat you like the original, just to not raise suspicion.”
“Amy” nods, “makes sense,” she says, then she smiles up at Sarah, “I must admit, it has been fun being a “little bitch”. I’m also really happy that I managed to pull it of so well, I mean… I never would have thought that I could be so convincing, really, no one had a clue that I am not really Amy!”
Sarah smiles back, “you really can be proud of yourself, Jeff,” she says, quiet enough so only “Amy” could hear, “even I had a hard time remembering who you really are. This day, so far, has really been great, all thanks to you!”
“Amy” smiles, “as I said before: I’m glad that it worked out as planned,” she says, “you do seem much happier than this morning. Let’s make sure that the day continues like this!”
Sarah nods, “I agree.”
“So,” the little “girl” says, “what do you normally do at the mall, when you are with Amy and the others?”
“Well,” Sarah says, “normally we head into a clothing store that sells… let’s just say… “high class” clothing.”
“Soooo… like Gucci, Prada and Chanel,” “Amy” asks.
Sarah nods, “yes, but my favourite store is ASOS, which make really nice luxury dresses, but also have some cheap brands, which still are high quality,” she says.
“I never been in such a store,” the little “girl” says, “because, well, I just can’t afford any clothes than second hand stuff, as I said earlier.”
Sarah looks at “Amy”, “would you like to check it out,” she asks.
“Actually, yeah,” “Amy” says, “I’d love to see what they got. Even though I won’t be able to buy anything. Unaware to Jeff, Sarah is already planning to buy some nice and sexy outfits AND a new phone for… HER… as a “thanks” for making her day better.
