With the first Monday, December was officially started, and so everyone was moving into high gear for Christmas prep. In some cases, the Animalia Website was hosting videos with various Christmas prep classes and taking requests for what the next video should focus on (such as food, decorations, etc.), with the more indecent requests either ignored or trolled, much to the amusement of many viewers.

Another thing that was going on was the beginning of the Winter Migrations, where Animalians would head out to more tropical colonies until winter was over. While bird Animalians were what most people thought of when it came to such migrations, so amphibian and/or reptile Animalians were a little more surprising, but still understandable in many ways.

Another thing on the Animalia Website was an official report of the reverse-evolution of Maple, Pumpkin, Matilda, and Gus into Dinotopians. While a good portion of their feathers, as well as other "turkey features", were "lost" from their transition from turkeys to dromaeosaurids, all four of them kept enough color and "feathers" (which were actually pycnofibers) to reveal their previous species to more eagle-eyed (pun both intended and unintended) people and Animalians. While they weren't "on display" quite yet due to their remedial classes, they were already generating attention, partly due to their well-shaped, muscular physiques.

There was one really unexpected piece of news from Australia's Animalia colonies, mainly because nobody really expected a trial during the Christmas season. Fortunately, Martin Mamsy's trial was a very minor one, since the only thing he really did was trespass on private property. He was able to get both a minor sentence and a plea deal, due to being officially diagnosed with PTSD: he had to show where he had found the gold nugget that eventually led to him, and in return, he'd be allowed to double dose into any species of Animalian he wanted.

Finally, both human and Animalian children were encouraged to bring their letters to Santa as part of a charity event, though not everyone celebrated Christmas the same way, even in otherwise "close" Animalia colonies.
