Bug awkwardly rubbed his legs together, causing them to create a loud sound that got the taur's attention.
"Oh. It is the bug freak." groaned Erby.
"Hi."said Cerby with a bit of a friendlier tone. "It was Erby who did this to you, by the way. Put any retribution on her and not on me."
Erby gave her a displeased look.
He looked down at himself and then said,"There are certainly cuter bugs than this, but I don't want to be entirely thankless. I just wish I was taller and not... that ugly in the facial department."
"Don't like it?"asked Erus with genuine surprise.
"The bugs in my TFs tend to be less body horror and more...just pretty insect anthros."
"You should have just split us up if you didn't want this. You knew what was coming. We could have even done worse. You could have been a pregnant fly woman by now."Complained Erus.
Bug held his four hands up defensively,"Look, I DIDN'T know what was coming. I thought this was just a silly, collaborative story, remember? I saw that the authors prior to me had made this whole hades-virus-turning-people-into-taurs-thing, and I didn't just want to undo a major plot-point made by another writer."
Erby sighed, having gotten control over the phone. Laying it down and taking a few steps back, she said,"Now, split us up."
Bug slowly walked over and touched what to him was a massive phone.
"Houston, we have a problem."
"What is it now?" asked Cerby, their collective right forepaw slapping the ground with impatience.
Bug started walking all over the phone, looking if it worked that way.
"Great. This flimsy body has neither the strength nor the weight for the touch screen to register it."
Cerby gave Erby a displeased look.
When Bug walked some meters away, Cerby picked up the phone, using a small rag to clean up the screen.
"Let us just continue walking towards the origin of the virus. We may push an update to CYOC during the walk."
Bug's antennas perked up suddenly,"We better do that. Besides you, myself, and the other two taurs from earlier, I just picked up on a fifth... magical signature from the north."
"Let's go there before this hades virus turns this into some kind of mass taur-transformation event." Commanded Cerby.
For his part, Bug followed the taur from a safe distance of a few meters away, hovering in the air using his new wings.
"So...why bugs?"asked Cerby to break the quiet.
"Most of them are pretty cool. Some are actually kind of cute, like bees and certain moths like luna moths." He responded.
He spent the next three minutes rattling down a list of bugs he liked
"Some beetles have really shiny colors. Mantids are fearsome and expressive. Especially orchid mantises have really pretty colors. Ants build their own little societies with some paralles to humans. Some even do slavery or agriculture. Oh, and..."
Deciding that this was taking too long, Erus asked,"Maybe it would be easier for you to say which bugs you don't like."
"Anything that is actively out to get you, infests your home, or just is an active annoyance. Ticks, lice, mosquitoes, cockroaches, kissing bugs, flies, bed bugs, and the like. Spiders with really long, thin legs unnerve me a little."
"At least the guy has SOME sense in him." quipped Erby.
With that, they continued onward to transformative adventure.
