Filling a shelf in one of the aisles is a series of paint tins. Rather than the bold and clear primary and secondary colours of ordinary house paints, these tins contain blends of colours that match the natural world. The green of forest leaves, shining after a thunderstorm’s rain. A white that would be perfectly camouflaged in artic snow. Desert sand. Black with rusty tinges of an animal’s fur. So many more. Even colours to match various skin tones from around the world.
The tins were old and crowded together. Some of them covered in dust gathered over the years. There was no indication of the colours they had inside other than labels written in delicate curling handwriting.
The colours would look excellent on their own. While a creative hand might be able to mix several colours for a specific pattern.
Who comes into the shop to find them?
