The three elves rested on Alisariah’s throne in various reclining positions, basking in the sight of each other. The newest of the three sat up in the middle of them, Kenzia and Maraya snuggling up to her on each side. Kenzia traced one of her ashen fingers sensuously down the contours of the high elf’s deep tan, sun-kissed flesh. Meanwhile Maraya let out a bubbly giggle as she tickled and teased the elf from the other side.
“You sound like you have something drastic in mind, revealing ourselves to all the world?” Kenzia inquired, wrapping a strand of Alisariah’s ebon hair around her finger.
“Eager are, you? Good. So am I, but we need something else, don’t you think?”
“Oh yes! A Wood Elf! We can’t move forward without one of the tree gals to round out our conclave.” Maraya instinctively followed on from her partner’s thought.
“Spot on dear Maraya. Once we have our fourth maiden, we can each take our thrones, establish our local domain over- what did we used to call this place? Michigan, something like that?” She waved her hand, conjuring up the image of a globe, familiar as their old Earth, and yet changing by the moment. Her spell envisioned a golden lattice covering the world: reshaping mountains, seeding forests of trees that dwarfed the redwoods, molding the very plates of the planet like clay.
“My blessing was given to me in a dream. Whoever is doing all this, they’re doing this all over the world it seems.” Kenzia observed.
“And we have to organize the new arrivals. Put society around us back together. No pressure right, gods?” Maraya quipped back, concluding the thought.
Alisariah snapped her fingers, dispelling the projection. “Exactly, so it’s imperative that we find the right queen for the woodland kindred, and do it soon.”
“Well- after I transformed, Maraya just sort of danced right into my room.” Kemzia smiled knowingly, and booped the sea elf’s nose. “And then just after we woke up together, Maraya suggested we come here on a lark. Like destiny put us each on the path.”
“Oh you are perceptive, Kenzia. Graced with foresight perhaps? We’ll have to test that when we have a free moment.” Alisariah remarked. “But enough of that, I think I know who we’re looking for, and if I’m right, she should be coming to us.”
