"Geez, Teach, a little heavy handed..." Tori complains as she - now he - rubs his nose where Uncle Jack had smacked him. You're taken aback by how deep his voice is, and how different an impression he gives off now. As a girl, he was cheeky and lively, but now, he has a mischievous and...sexy (?) air. His somewhat short and tomboyish red hair now has a wild appearance, and he is taller and more muscular than your current form, and probably more so than your original form as well. Despite being originally unattracted to boys, your present body feels drawn to him. You are too enthralled by his appearance to realize the turn your thoughts have taken, but Tori does not appear to have missed it, and his now-also golden eyes smirk in your direction.
"That's nothing compared to what'll happen if you don't break that curse in the month," Uncle Jack grumbles at Tori, not amused at his carefree attitude or your twitterpated expression. "I need to do a little more research on that pelt before we take a crack at it. You had better get to the study and review your materials on curse-breaking," Uncle Jack orders Tori, then turns to you. "You should probably get some rest, John, you've had a long day, and you're going to need your energy for what's coming."
Although you're a bit taken aback by Uncle Jack's somber expression, you nod and ready yourself for bed while you hear Uncle Jack admonish Tori and then go silent, ostensibly vanishing through the same portal Tori entered through. Tori, on the other hand, you hear going down the stairs to one of the rooms in the costume shop and closing the door. Not sure if you are relieved or disappointed, you pull on your night clothes, now tight in all the wrong places, and crawl into bed.
You waken to see a shadow looming over you in the dim light. You startle before recognizing the familiar scent and outline. It's Tori, but what is he doing up in your bedroom? Is he...
"Why...are you up here?" you ask as you pull back slightly, your question coming out oddly suggestive. Tori blinks then grins knowingly at you, his reflective eyes shining.
"Oh? What were you hoping I was up here for, Johnny-girl?" Tori teases to your chagrin, but then his smile becomes a little more sly. "Don't worry, I won't do that. You wouldn't want to carry around a litter of pups for a few months, would you?"
You try to school your expression, but your face is red as a beet. You're not sure why you feel a little disappointed.
"Well, just because we can't go that far, doesn't mean we can't have a little fun," Tori suddenly continues, leaning down over you on the bed. "Do you know what the main effect of a curse like this is?" he asks, his face inches from yours, and you shake your head.
"Propagation. After all, it turns its victims into werewolves," Tori lectures you in his breathy voice. "However, werewolves have two other methods of propagation: a bite, or the way of the birds and bees. So what happens when two methods of propagation clash?"
As Tori gets closer, you find yourself losing awareness of what he is saying and instead concentrating on the movement of his lips, and his warm breath on your face. As he finishes his question, his finger traces your newly-sensitive chest, and you gasp. Unable to control yourself any more, you grab Tori, pinning him to your bed, and plant an ardent kiss on his mouth. He seems to expect your response, if not entirely your enthusiasm, and does not resist, but encourages you as you pause for air. Between his roving hands and gentle nuzzles, you feel an uncontrollable heat building inside of you. You are so excited you do not even notice the changes that suddenly take place.
"That should be enough for now," Tori gently pulls apart from you as you both pant raggedly. Desiring more, you try to resist and pick up where you left off, but Tori is firm. "You didn't even notice, huh?"
It takes a moment for his words to register in your addled brain, but you finally see something move above Tori's head. No, not above his head, but more like attached to it. You realize he now sports a pair of triangular, furry wolf ears. Just as your eyes open wide, Tori grins and raises his hand over your head, and you feel his finger running down your ear, where no ear should be. You are stunned, but shift to adjust the uncomfortable pressure in your tailbone, at which point you feel something move down there as well. Yes, both you and Tori now have wolf ears and tails.
"What the..." your voice trails off in shock and lack of understanding. Tori, anticipating your confusion, sits comfortably next to you on the bed.
"A curse is kinda like a locked safe," Tori starts, although it takes you a minute to follow the apparent change in subject. "If you have the combination, it's really easy to open it. Otherwise, what do you do? Just try random numbers until it opens?" Tori shakes his head, then continues. "So to break a curse, you have to listen for how the tumblers shift, just like a safecracker. When you get close to the right numbers, you'll hear a click, and when you find the weak points of a curse, there are signs," Tori indicates your ears and tail.
"What does that have to do with what we were..." You ask irritatedly, then trail off as you realize how pouty you sound.
"Like I said, it's a matter of manipulating the purposes of the curse, the most obvious one being propagation," Tori shrugs, then smiles as he gets to his feet. "And it worked. Thanks for a lovely evening, maybe we can do it again sometime," Tori calls back breezily as he strolls out the door while you stare, dumbfounded.
