After much discussion, the gods reached a conclusion. Perhaps the problem wasn't just humans, perhaps the problem was men. A few goddesses made a proposal to the others. The plan was made to replace humans with Elves, but only make Elven women, a race of powerful Amazons that could find balance with nature and perhaps as time passed things could change. But for now, they would be limited to women.
the Goddesses knew that this would require a time of transition, so they believed the best chance was to use magic to alter reality itself around the infected. The Goddesses would take part in teaching the new women the changes to the world, as well as being the means for the initial vector. The two main varieties of Amazon would also be more based on their natures, and perhaps from there the infection would mutate.
Infected would turn into Amazonian Elves quickly enough. Either they would become tall muscular Amazons with a warrior's spirit or smaller, but powerful in the ways of anture magic Amazons (and perhaps more as time passes). The future is still in motion, and the Goddesses would put their powers to use. The disease would spread through either magical means or by body fluids, with sex accelerating the transformation. It would turn men into women and cause magical changes to the world around them, making it more ideal for them.
The two Goddesses are sisters, and have arrived on Earth to spread the magic.
Alistae is the older of the two, a warrior Goddess, she is a tall dark skinned Elven woman who is often seen dressed in armor. She believes in strength and showing the power of nature as warriors.
Mercia is the younger of the two, she has power over plants and finds beauty in them. As such she believes that nature itself should reflect beauty, and is a master of the Druidic magics of nature.
