As Ty put his hands on the net, the woman vanished, and he was wracked with pain. He heard the woman's voice inside his head.
"Now, don't struggle. It'll be worse for you if you do," He began to feel the cold of metal against his skin as chains wrapped themselves around his torso. Where they touched, searing pain emanated, as if the chains had just come from a forge. Ty squirmed, both mentally and physically as the armour he was wearing was melted into liquid, and flowed into the chains, strengthening them.
He screamed as the chains covered his whole body, blocking out what light there was in the room. His voice was cut off as the chains around his neck tightened, grinding against his adam's apple.
"Finally, some quiet," the woman's voice came through my head once again "Now, will you stop struggling? The transition will be easier if we're partners in this."
"Partners?" Ty asked, his voice dripping venom "Between jailer and jailed? You are a demon of some kind who wants to take my body."
"I am a devil," the woman corrected "Outside the Hells, I would die without a host body."
"You are evil," Ty said "Be gone from my body, or I will destroy it."
The woman let out a long sigh. "Not all devils are evil," she said "I needed to use you as a host to survive, but it isn't strong enough to sustain me. You have as much control over the form as I do, it's why you haven't changed more in the time you've been struggling. If you'll let me, I can bring you to a space where you can see what we're doing and cooperate."
