While Damon was starting to learn how to live - and survive - as a frog, the genie waited for her new master. Damon might have kept his human mind but he could only croak and that did not count as intelligible speech. She could not understand frog, after all, and a wish had to be spoken, signed or written. However, Damon had not thought of tracing letters in the mud. And webbed frog fingers are made for leaping, not using a crude sign language. So now she was left waiting for a new master. It was not that much of a bore. After all, her lamp was magical in of itself and she had all the luxuries within it she might conceive, including an internet connection. So waiting was not a problem. On the contrary, she could use some nice free time. She would also think about fun mischievous ways of twisting the desires and words of these silly humans, whom never learned anything and each thinking he was smarter than the others. Especially the males. Always the same wishes and desires. It never changed. Hence her enjoyment at humiliating those who thought they could use her for their own selfishness. Of course, she was not as naughty and mean when dealing with children - as long as they weren’t bullies or brats - or genuinely nice persons. She toyed with the others. As for her lamp, it was left to be picked up from the street by anyone as no one wanted it in Damon's entourage. The genie might get a new master sooner than she thought...
