It is only now that you realize how late it is and notice that the sun has almost completely set replaced by thick clouds. You know that you should probably go to the mansion and see if you couldn't stay there but something about the Fields of the Full Moon caught your eye.
Against your better judgement, you proceed into the fields. The sky has been completely overtaken by clouds now much to your dismay, since you wanted to see how these fields got there name. You get out your flashlight so that you can see and continue forward.
You keep moving forward, determined to make it as far as you can through the thick grass. A sound from your left alerts you of the presence of an animal and you turn to the left and your flashlight reveals a small wolf pack standing in the open.
Your fascinated by them. Wolves have always been one of your favorite animals and seeing them out in the open, this close to a human, was probably a once in a life-time deal.
You reach out to touch the one you believe to be the alpha male but it turns and runs through a thick area of briars and bushes that seperate the fields.
You rush after them hoping that you will be able to keep up. The briars and bushes rip at your jeans and even catch your skin occasionally but you don't mind. You've always been a tomboy and some rips and scratches weren't going to deter you from following them.
You rush through the winding bushes, following the wolves, who seem to be checking to see where you were as if hoping not to lose you in the heavy foliage.
You enter the second section of field and notice that now there are not only wolves but other animals leading you along. Some of these animals shouldn't even exist on this side of the world.
The animals lead you through a maze of twists and turns. You know that you would never remember how to get back at this point and it becomes clear from the trail that no human has gone through this area in recent years.
Finally after at least two hours of following them, you wind up in another field though this one is much bigger than the others close by. There were no signs, in fact there weren't any signs of human interference but you somehow knew that this was the true Field of the Full Moon.
You walked along it following the animals that had brought you here to begin with. The field is huge and takes almost a half-hour to cross.
When you finally reach the end there is a slightly sloping hill. You follow the animals up the side of the hill and are shocked to see a circle of tall, marble obelisks which actually gave off their own pale white glow.
Standing closer marvelling at the sight you notice that the script written on the side is a combination of Egyptian, Sumerian, and some of the other early languages wrapped into one. Your excited this could turn out to be the find of a life-time. Stepping inside the circle you notice each obelisk has the head of a different animal and each one you had seen on the way here.
Looking to the center, there's a stone stage with a pentogram surrounded by 5 symbols for each point. In the center of the pentogram is a symbol which you recognize.
Pulling out your necklace, you confirm that the symbol that seeems to burn at the center of the diamond is the same one at the center of the pentogram.
Stepping into the center of the pentogram, you feel a slight rush as the obelisks and the symbol at the center begin to glow brighter. Your flashlight shorts out as you look back at the animals to notice there are now 20 of each kind.
You look up to see the moon part the clouds as it released a large red beam of light that surrounded the formation.
Your body tingled as you felt yourself being lifted off the ground and words chanted through your head.
You recline your head back looking directly at the moon as your necklace begins to stand up floating above you. The red light concentrates and hits the amulet with one concentrated beam.
You can feel the energy flowing into you from the medallion. Invigorating your very life-force.
The Obelisks which were now also glowing red, connected themselves with red beams and then each sent a ray of red that struck the amulet, increasing the energy which was still flowing through you.
You open your mouth to gasp as something burns its way into your forehead. Your once short hair now flows wildly behind you.
The symbols on the obelisks now seem to come alive, as they circle around your body like holograms.
You're still in the middle of this when a voice rings through your head accompanied by the chant.
"Choose the animal of which you most desire, thus sealing your fate. If you hesitate the circle will choose for you."
