“C-can I leave now,” Jeff asks cautiously, “I… I need to get back to camp”.
The Coyote looks up at Jeff, ‘I’m tired of being a simple animal. Life is so boring, but with that App I could make it a little more interesting… at least for me’. The animal the smiles, “I’ll let you leave,” it says, “IF you make a deal with me”.
Jeff tilts his head, “wh-what kind of “deal”?”
The Coyote grins, “I’ll let you leave, IF you transform me into an Anthro!”
“Why,” Jeff asks, confused.
“These paws are so useless,” the animal says, “I’d rather have a more human-like body”.
Jeff thinks for a while, “what’s in it for me? Apart from you letting me leave?”
“If you do this for me,” the Coyote says, “I will forever be thankful to you and protect you from other dangerous animals. I know your scent, so I’ll find you, no matter WHERE you are!”
“Okay, that’s actually cool,” Jeff says, “it’s a deal!”
The Coyote grins, the first part of his plan seems to have worked, “then get started,” he says.
Jeff nods and takes out his phone, he opens the animal’s file, and changes it’s body from “feral” to “anthro”, “w-would you like me to give you a name?”
“Why not,” the Coyote says, “anything in mind?”
“How about “Cyrus”?”
“Cyrus, I like that name,” the Coyote says, “it has a dominant ring to it!”
Jeff nods and adds the name to the animal’s file, he then confirms the change, “I set the transformation to be painless,” Jeff says.
“Good,” the animal says, shivering once again when he feels the sensation once again run through his body, “I’ll never get used to that sensation,” he grumbles.
At first nothing seems to change, but then both hear a popping and cracking sound coming from the animal’s spine, “eeesh, that sounded painful,” Jeff says, grimacing.
The Coyote nods, “it did, but luckily, thanks to your input, I didn’t feel a thing,” he says, “I sense that I’d be able to stand straight up like a human, and when I get down on all fours my spine will adjust without popping or cracking”.
“Cool, so why not try standing,” Jeff asks.
“I’d rather want to wait until the transformation is complete,” the Coyote says, I can feel my front legs and arms change”.
Sure enough Jeff watches the animal’s front legs and paws take on a more human-like appearance, the Coyotes torso also takes on a more human-like appearance, finally the Coyote feels his given name “Cyrus” enter his mind, making it official.
After a few minutes the transformation completes, Cyrus uses his new arms and hands to push himself up onto his legs. The anthro wobbles a little, but soon is standing fully upright and secure, “so, this is what it feels like,” he says, “it feels kind of weird, but I’ll get used to it”.
“Try walking,” Jeff says.
Cyrus nods, he then takes some small steps, which soon turn into a full stride. After walking in a circle, Cyrus goes into a jog, then a full run, then he returns to his position in front of Jeff, grinning at the teen.
As Cyrus looks at Jeff, the teen notices that the former feral looks younger, just like a 14-year-old human teenager: his muzzle is a little shorter and his eyes a little bigger, causing Cyrus to have a youthful appearance. Even though Cyrus is younger than Jeff, he is eye level with the teen, this is caused by having digitigraded legs, which causes Cyrus to look taller than he actually would be if he'd had human legs and feet instead of animal-like legs and paws.
“I feel great! I feel somehow much younger and full of energy,” Cyrus says, "my voice also sounds different. Much higher and softer than before".
"Well, I made you two years younger than me," Jeff says, "I'm 16, so that makes you 14, that is also the reason why your voice sounds so different".
Cyrus widens his eyes, but the he grins, "it feels great being young again! Does that mean that I'll age like a human," he asks, his grin grows when Jeff nods, “this is amazing! Thanks, Jeff!”
Jeff smiles, “I’m happy you like your new form, Cyrus,” he says, “anyway… um… I should head back to the camp”.
Cyrus nods, “I guess you did your side of the bargain,” he says, “so, you are free to leave, but this won’t be the last time we see each other”.
Jeff smiles, “I don’t mind meeting you again, Cyrus,” he says, “I actually am starting to like you. You seem like a nice guy… um… I mean Coyote… hehe!”
Cyrus chuckles, “you are not to bad yourself, Jeff,” he says, grinning, “I’ll see you soon”.
Jeff nods and heads back to camp, not noticing the smirk on Cyrus’s face, ‘hehe… tonight… I’ll make a quick visit to a nearby electronic store which sells phones,’ he thinks to himself, his smirk turning into a grin, ‘soon, I’ll have my own Chronivac-App and the fun can begin! Hehe… oh, Jeff… you don’t know it yet… but you are MINE,’ the Coyote licks his lips before turning and vanishing into the thick and dense forest.
