“Kill me.” Matt said.
The four stared at him and tilted their heads again. The Dragon King resumed his human form before continuing.
“Not really. You’re going to bring my “body” to the Serpent Society, they’re a group of dragon hunters and have even been hired by the Normal from time to time. Posing as rogue hunters, you’ll be granted a special audience with the Serpent’s head, Leonard Kelly. Then we’ll be able to take out this group once and for all.” Matt explained.
“And what makes you think we’ll get to meet the man himself?” Jolie asked.
“If you bring him the corpse of the Dragon King, he’ll have no choice. He’s been after my head for years.” Matt answered.
“Why not, we’re in. What could go wrong?” Bong-cha said and shook hands with the Dragon King.
Bong-cha, Luca, Setepenre, and Jolie all got dressed in dark clothes and trench coats, equipped guns and other equipment to complete the look of hunters. Jolie used magic to slightly alter their features to help sell the look, along with the appropriate burns and wounds that one would get in a fight with the Dragon King.
They took their enchanted car, its dimensional distortion spell allowing them to store the Dragon’s “body”. Matt guided them to the island the Serpent Society operated from; It was completely walled off with massive spikes protruding out along with hundreds of runes and archaic symbols, heavy artillery mounted along its defenses with anti aircraft guns and SAM launchers. The place was built to withstand dragon attacks, Matt told them they even had a shell-stone so they had to be prepared to make a dangerous getaway.
They loaded the car on one of the resort’s boats and used a portal to get closer to the island and save on travel time. Eventually the boat’s radio came to life and a voice in the other end demanded to know who they were and what they were doing in their territory.
“Hunters. Come to claim a bounty, have a feeling you’re going to want to see for yourself. Over.” Luca said.
“We’re not a guild, you can’t claim any bounties here, fuck off. Over.” The man on the radio replied.
Setepenre and Bong-cha looked at the werewolf and he waved his hand dismissively.
“Obviously, we’ve got a lizard you’ve been after, I think you know what I’m talking about. Over.” Luca said.
There was a silence before the man spoke again.
“Stop your boat and submit to inspection, one of our ships will be there shortly. If you’re fucking around it’ll be a burial at sea, you got me? Over.” The radio crackled.
“Sure thing. Over.” Luca finished and hung up the radio.
“See, you should have more faith.” Luca said.
“We’re not on the island yet.” Bong-cha replied.
