Beldazar set up the setting of Brendon's wish and the young man was engulfed in magic, sending him a whirlwind which made him dizzy. He felt himself close his eyes while his entire reality shifted. Beldazar thought that he might as well shift the reality of other people so that Brendon's wish would make a few more happy. Beldazar could be at times as generous as he was mischievous.
So when Brendon opened his eyes again, he found himself upon a soft surface and with even softer surfaces wrapped around him. He moaned but his voice felt weird. Had he caught a cold? And why couldn't he move? Did he have the flu or something? And what was wrong with his bed? It had high walls and there was something dangling above it. It took his eyes a few minutes to see what these were. There were... They were little figures of Stitch! It was a mobile! What was this horror doing above his bed? And then something big, black and producing weird sniffing movements appeared next to him. Brendon uttered a pitiful cry. A monster! It was a monster! What was it going to do to him?!?!
"Careful girl, you've woken him," scolded gently a male voice.
Above him now loomed a huge face, that of a man in his thirties, probably. But it was completely out of proportion! Way too big! And gigantic hands, just as impossibly large, scooped up Brendon, still immobile and brought him to his chest.
"There there, little guy. No need to be scared. Triksi just wanted to see how you were doing and make friends. She's a real mother, that one. Don't worry."
"What happened?" asked another male voice.
"Triksi woke up Bryan, that's all. She just wanted to check how he fared."
"More like sniffing his diaper," scoffed the other man.
"Nah, I think he's clean," said the giant holding Brendon.
Brendon was scared. What did they mean "diaper"? Was he actually wearing one? And why was he sleeping in a giant bassinet and called Bryan and treated as a baby?... Oh. He stared at his body, little and wrapped in warm clothes and in a Carebear blanket. Somehow, he had become an infant and though Triksi was there, he was the baby of two strangers. Incredibly, his wish had come true. The other man stepped into the room, patted Triksi's head and kissed the other man onb the mouth.
"I am so glad we decided to adopt and were approved. It's going to be great!"
The man holding Brendon, now Bryan, just smiled. As for Bryan, he yelled in his mind that he was no baby and he wished to return to normal but it was to no avail. After all, infants do not speak coherent words, so Beldazar didn't have to grant his wish. So he left Triksi and formerly Brendon to their new carefree lives and waited for someone else to pick his lamp. This was fun!
