"sir the energy signature has been detected" a young man with glasses approached his superior. "where?" Marcus said following the young man. "a place called Draco Point. ironic it wasn't hit first." the young man said. he typed some commands in and the large screen in front of them showed the city.
"a huge wave seems to be emanating from the park area. Best guess multiple people born in the year of the dragon are there." the man then looked back at Marcus. the older man scratched his graying hair and spoke. "okay send a team. Remember force only if they are a danger to people. we don't want any trigger-happy people." the young man nodded and dispatched a team.
Team Zodiac was this group's temporary name. The United Nations recently made this organization to focus on these events. innocent people being turned into various dragons for no known reason. Marcus was nervous as this was the first mass change he had seen. he still remembered when a criminal had gotten changed. luckily it was in an abandoned facility. the man's hand shook sometimes when he remembered seeing the flames. his men had just arrived.
a kaiju-sized dragon began growing as the roof burst apart. Several of his men were injured. thankfully he got a lucky shot and hit a small area yet to get scales. the bullet had pierced the beast's new fire sack or whatever gave it the ability to breathe fire. the beast soon combusted. "sir!" Marcus heard the voice of the young man. "sir we have deployed the alpha team" Marcus nodded and went to his office. sitting down in his chair he sighed. he hoped this would be better than his first encounter.

jane noticed the mother by the hot dog vendor clutch the cart and began to crush it. she then gulped as she saw golden scales begin to cover her. She heard more moans and screams and looked around. the couple began to panic as a light blue tail ripped out of the man's jeans. one of the kites fell as the mother massaged her much larger breasts.
Finally, a jogger collapsed as two bat-like wings ripped his shirt. seeing as this was an emergency she dialed it in. "hello this is 9-1-1" a man said on the other end of the line. "I'm surrounded by dragons" she panicked as she saw the changes continue. the woman at the hot dog vendor moaned as her body grew. wings tore her shirt as a bulge ripped her pants apart. she gasped as she saw the woman's genitals mutate.
"Ma'am can you explain" the man on the phone asked. "just send someone i..." she was interrupted by a tree catching on fire. the man with the tail covered his new muzzle in shock as his girlfriend fled. She ran right past the family as they dropped their kites. their mother meanwhile was stripping off her clothes as scales covered her.
She didn't even want to look at the jogger as she bolted. in a blind panic, she ran to the public bathroom. thanking that there was a lock she did use it. "Ma'am are you still there?" the man on the phone said. "yeah I ran to the bathroom. I really hope I'm hallucinating" she said realizing she still had her phone.
"it's okay can you tell me your name," he said. "yes, it's Jane. please send someone." she said now sitting on the toilet. It was a small room. The walls were cement and the entire room looked like it had seen better days. "Jane I've dispatched police and fire personnel. do you know where in the park you..." a sudden crunch stopped the conversation.
looking down she gasped as she saw her phone now a pile of junk in her hand. her fingers were now a lime green like her eyes. This proved too much for her had she passed out. fur covered her wrists as the color transitioned from lime green to blue.

"be advised I have lost contact with a woman. she is 24 years old" James said to team Zodiac Alpha as they approached the scene. the team consisted of 2 men and 2 women. "acknowledged. we are tending to the change now." Walter said as they approached the area. they soon came upon a destroyed hot dog cart and a burnt umbrella.
next to it a gold dragon was using his tail to try to cover himself up. "sir can you tell me your name" Walters said as the others fanned out to talk to the others. "my name is..." the dragon was interrupted as a flame came out of his mouth. thankfully the hazmat suit Walters wore prevented any injury. "it's okay I know this is scary. try to stay calm, the fire is instinctual right now" Walters waited for him to be calm.
"My name is Sarah. please my son Jacob, is he okay?" Sarah said. looking past the caution tape he saw a young boy next to an officer. "officer, is that Jacob with you?" he asked. a nod was given. "your son is fine. well have to take you in for an examination. then once you control your body better you'll be discharged." he saw the shock on the dragon's face.
Normally this would be the end and they would take them back to a safe place nearby. However this time it was multiple victims. "Madison! how goes it" he approached his teammate. "somewhat good. this man has become a feral completely in the physical sense. while he retained his mind he is unable to speak." Madison then instructed the man to stay until they were done.
Stevens was comforting a large anthro dragon. "it's okay I'm sure she will understand" he said before approaching his captain. "The poor guy set the tree on fire and his girlfriend ran off" They nodded and approached Wilson. "ma'am you need to come down and put something on!" Wilson yelled to a dragoness anthro on top of the gazebo. the three of them averted their gaze as they realized she was intimate with the small spire at the top.
"sir we got a severe mental change. she is ignoring my instructions" she said. "well let's hope the doctors can fix that. Steven's knockout gas. Wilson, Madison prepare a safety net." he instructed his team. The 7-foot dragoness moaned as liquid fell off the roof of the gazebo.
a pop was heard as a purple gas covered the area. Madison and Wilson used the net to catch the female. after that was done Walter's informed them of something. "before we go there is a woman in a nearby public bathroom. dispatch lost contact but alerted us she is in the year of the dragon. Let's fan out," he instructed his team to take the four directions and report back.
"sir the playground bathroom is empty," Wilson said. "Roger that Wilson. keep searching" Walters said before noticing a bathroom near the tennis courts. looking at the door showed it was locked. pulling out his energy reader Walter's scanned the door. "team meet me at the bathroom near the tennis courts. bring a saw" he then waited some time before the three got to him.
"here's the saw sir," Stevens said. they then sawed off the hinges and let the door fall. "Jane you alright," Walters said before he shined a light into the small room. he then saw a figure inside. "alert command we have an unconscious victim" he said.
