Henry let out an annoyed grumble. "Because it sounds stupid," he glared up from his game. "Either I win and you get mad. Or you win and I get mad. What's the point?"
"I won't get mad," Stephany pouted.
Henry's eyes fell flat. The frustration on his face was palpable. This was not the first time they'd played games and this one was far more emotionally involved than playing Hearts or Spades. "You won't?"
Stephany's voice raised. "No! I won't get mad! Promise!"
"Let me see it," Henry took the box and read the back. "What's this about deciding the fate of another player for the rest of the day?"
"We'll just promise not to do that. Janet said her and Ben promised that they would return them to normal afterwards," Stephenie explained.
That wasn't very convincing to Henry. He'd known full well how competitive his girlfriend could get. But this game said they'd both endure embarrassing things happening to them. Was it just a pie to the face or something much worse. He let out a sigh. "Fine..." he agreed. "We can play."
"YEAH!" Stephany pulled him into a hug. "I knew you'd want to!"
"I'm only doing it because it's technically close to the end of the day," Henry stated. "Besides, I've already got my workout done and don't have anything due tomorrow."
Stephany had stopped listening. She'd already taken the lid off and pulled out the magic button. The two sat on opposite sides of their kitchen table. "Perfect!" Stephany cheered. She was the perfect blond cheerleader in high school. That's how her and Henry had met. He was on the football team and she was captain of the cheer team. Both had seen each other all the time and then decided to try it out.
They were both attracted to each other. Stephany's toned lean athletic body with long blond hair that she always kept up into a ponytail made her pretty standard for the cheer team. Even if it wasn't worn often, he felt like he recognized it. "My turn?" Stephany nodded and he pressed the button.
