You double check your gear making sure everything was proper before you take the dive. While it was a straightforward dive it was better to be safe than sorry.
Once that was done you gave your buddy staying on the boat a thumbs up before jumping into the water and staying under.
Thanks to your scuba system you where breathing normally, the water was perfect with the only things in the way the about half dozen other divers ahead of you heading toward an old warship which had sunk to make an artificial reef/diving spot.
Coming quickly behind you was your partner as the two of you headed toward the ship. It was shallow enough that even those who were snorkeling could dive down and touch the top of the command tower or even set foot on the deck. However, for a true exploration of the ship scuba was the way to go.
The two of you reached the ship and took turns taking photos with your underwater camera of some of the fish and other sights. You even got lucky enough to time a photo just as a fish came swimming out of the “small” main gun turret located on the bow of the ship.
You were about to turn around and head back when suddenly there was movement coming from more out to sea and heading toward you.
Your eyes widened as a mass of something came toward you, it almost looked like some kind of massive pod of fish but each of these fishes were huge. You didn’t have time to do much of anything before it reached you and the horror began.
Another diver near the stern of the ship was attacked before your eyes, a whole creature slamming into him or her before another one came up and bit into his lower legs and began to move up the body.
People began to swim away as fast as they can but it only made it easier as these creatures followed the same pattern as swimming up behind them and biting their legs off. That is when you noticed they weren’t letting go.
Then it didn’t matter as the mass was upon you.
You tried to swim away but it was too late, one of the creatures came up and bit into your legs around the ankle. Your blood entering the water as it began to climb up your legs biting as it went. You tried to kick it off, tried to do everything but it soon reached your knees. You could still feel your toes and lower legs and it was clear whatever this thing was it’s mouth was full of teeth all the way down.
You pull a diving knife from a restraint on your arm and drove it into the side of this creature making sure not to hit your own legs, that was easy considering the fish was transplant so you could see your wet suit and the mass of blood from where it had been you inside the creature. To your amazement a new much sharper pain racked your body as your side hurt at the same spot where you had stabbed this creature at. The pain made your back arched as the knife went flying away.
The mass passed you by leaving you and the others bitten to fall toward the ocean floor as these things consumed you. You felt yourself slam onto the wooden deck of this warship as the creature moved up your legs to your hips before moving itself sideways. You expected the creature to comp down and cut you in to but instead it stopped, and you lost all feeling and movement within your legs as you lied on deck of this sunken ship not sure what is happening or what to do.
