Somewhere in the town centre of Rio de Janeiro is a huge building of a scientific research company, which works on top secret projects.
One of those top secret projects is the development of a Raygun with the ability to transform anyone and anything into various things, be it humans, objects, vehicles, clothing, toys, food and much more, along with mental changes, and even partial transformations.
The scientist, tasked with this project, is Dr. Pedro Fernandez, a 60-year-old chubby man with white hair and brown eyes.
Months and years pass, until late one Friday night, Dr. Fernandez finally managed to create the desired Raygun.
Feeling proud with himself, Dr. Fernandez stretches and gets to his feet, “finally I can take a few weeks off,” he says to himself, “but first, I need some sleep”. The old man yawns, he then looks down at his desk where the Raygun is lying on, surrounded by tools, screws, bits and pieces of plastic.
“I really should clean my desk, and lock the gun into my safe,” Dr. Fernandez mumbles, “but… I’m to tired to even remember my combination of my safe. The cleaning service isn’t scheduled for today, so I think it’ll be fine for one night”.
With that said, the scientist heads home, not realizing that the cleaning service is actually scheduled for early Saturday morning.
When Dr. Fernandez returns to his office at around 6 am, his eyes widen in horror when he finds that his office and his desk have been cleaned, “no no no,” the old man says and starts to search his lab and office in panic, but the Raygun has vanished.
Dr. Fernandez punches the wall, wincing at the pain and clutching his hand, ‘I’m going to get fired, if anyone finds out,’ he thinks to himself, but then an idea pops into his head, ‘IF they find out. Since I haven’t told anyone about my success, no one knows about the gun. I can simply create a new one, it won’t take me long, since I now know how to create a Raygun. Nothing bad will happen, the Raygun is probably smashed to pieces by now, so no need to worry”.
The man sighs, “well… better get to work,” he says and starts to re-create a Raygun, unaware that the original gun is lying in a dumpster totally intact.
Later that day, the dumpster is emptied and everything is brought to the City dump, the Raygun now lying on a huge pile of old toys, metal and other broken objects, until it is picked up by two hands, the person staring down at the amazing futuristic and science fiction-like object in awe.
