Clara Cooper was enjoying sunbathing. She was a single mother of three. her oldest was Grace, at 18 years old. she was the raven-haired girl in the yellow bikini. She was currently playing volleyball with Zoey her middle kid, who was 16. her long hair blew in the breeze.
Finally, her youngest was Molly. the 14-year-old was currently swimming in the ocean. a few minutes later she called them in for lunch. "Grace where's the ice cream?" Molly asked. smiling the eldest answered. "well I wanted to buy some". "well there's a vendor over there" Zoey said pointing to the left. an ice cream cart was seen.
"sweetie you don't need to buy it. the ice creams are expensive here" Clara said. trying to keep her smile Grace simply said "Mom it's fine. I just wanted to do something special". Clara soon realized what she was doing. The last time they had bought ice cream from the beach was when Simon was alive. judging by the looks her daughters had they each knew too. it had been barely a year since he was killed.
a drunk driver had hit him on the way back from work. "if... that's what you want do that" Clara said. grace put her smile on and went to the cart. while she had said it they now had Simon in their minds.

"Hello I'm looking to buy some ice cream," Grace said. an average looking man turned around. "yes what would you like" he said. he had a golden necklace with a fox pendant on it. grace shook her head wondering why she focused on it. she looked down to see the flavors.
she was surprised at how many flavors there were. "you do want ice cream right?" the man said. "ah... yes... um, one sea salt double ice cream. then I would like a Banana ripple. pride of Savannah... and hunky mint" she asked. "thinking of a man are you" he grinned as he grabbed the ice cream from the cart. "usually these are popular with men. I assume it's a boyfriend".
"uh no, no it's my father he died a few months back," Grace said unsure as to why she was telling him this. "well I'm sorry for your loss. hopefully these will help" he said as he handed them to her. looking down she reached for her purse. "okay how much is..." looking up she was shocked. the man was gone.
a note said 'be back soon'. leaving for her family she didn't notice a figure hiding in the shadow of the lifeguard house. walking into the sun showed a female kitsune wearing the same necklace. "thank you my treasures. Ha, can't wait until they eat my 'treats'" she chuckled as she watched the actual vendor come and take note of it. he also noticed a paper sign on the front and ripped it off. touching him he froze and she took the paper. she then waved her arm and the man looked confused before shrugging.
the kitsune then turned into a seagull and flew in Grace's direction.

grace came back with the four ice creams. "what did you get" Zoey said. "well I got four flavors. they didn't have the usual flavors so I got four that sounded good." Grace then looked at the labels. "I've got sea salt double, banana ripple, pride of Savannah, and hunky mint" She then moved them forward for her family to pick. each one picked the flavor and then opened the package. a seagull with a fox necklace landed on their umbrella as they each took a bite.
